Fallacy woke in a bed. She recognised the feeling of Encre's arms around her. She knew it was him yet she didn't want to leave not yet. This was the only comfort she knew. He was the only comfort she knew. Being beaten by her mother and father betrayed by her sister and old friends and well never having a healthy relationship in her life this was the only comfort she knew that wasn't her two dogs speaking of which were properly still chained up in the demonhunters camp. She didn't want to risk their life to a demon. Especially since Animals were not high on the demon's menu. She felt Encre tighten his grip slightly around her. Encre was her only comfort but he was also the one who hurt him the most. He is the reason she can't go back to her old life. He is the reason she can not have the life she so desires. Yet he was the only comfort she had ever felt. He was the closest thing to safety she had ever felt. He took her for everything she was with no strings. She didn't have to worry about him turning his back because of some secret she had. He was her only comfort a guaranteed safety and ally. Here she would only have to worry about him hurting her as no one else would dare to do so directly but it had been the same with her mother. Her mother had a high rank in the military. Back then no one dared to touch her for fear of retribution but her mother had been ruthless beating her daily for years. Would that be her future if she stayed? Fallacy doubted she could get the same safety and comfort anywhere else and she knew with how everything was going now she couldn't be alone. She had to live with someone or at least have someone to rely on or she would go mad and go on a rampage killing anyone in her way.

Encre was the only one she could trust. Ron was not an option as he didn't see her as a person more as property that could be taken and kept as wanted. Her grandfather was the same deal and if she went with Peinture she might as well just stay with encre. She could go with Freja but she didn't want to use the love-stricken yaiko nor could she go back to toriel and the others. Then there was Simon. As viable as an option as he was it had been too long since they last had contact and she didn't know him that well. Encre was her only option right now. As bad as that option was. She opened her eyes looking up. He looked at her and it was obvious he had been crying.

"So is Malcro dead?" Fallacy asked him. Encre looked at her as he whipped his tears.

"I don't Know. We all had to flee to not get caught in the crossfire again," Encre said looking down his voice was unsteady.

"It's day and I couldn't bring us further away than to my castle. The cape I used to go here was ripped during the battle," He told her not letting go. She didn't fight his hold. It was silent for a while.

"I'm so tired," She finally said. He said nothing. What could he say? Sleep? That would be one sure way to get his ass beaten.

"It's over Fallacy. The gate has opened and it has closed again," Encre said in an effort to console her.

"Do you know how empty it feels to fulfil your purpose?" Fallacy asked.

"No, I do not," He said. She looked at him but nothing else was said. They just laid there for hours none of them moving. That was until Someone slammed open their bedroom door. A glance revealed a not-so-happy randalf at the doorway.

"So why is it that every fucking time I come to your-" He saw them. Encre fully dressed Fallacy in a nightgown but covered in a blanket and in a secure hold. Not what he expected but much better than what he feared.

"Shut up and leave," Fallacy growled at him curling into the blanket. Randalf wasn't amused by her backtalk.

"The other forces want to see you Fallacy and they are relentless," Randalf said. Fallacy got up. She didn't pay him any mind as she left the room presumably to change clothing. 3 days passed and the population of the capital had returned to their homes Fallacy had helped people return and using the Magdan fortune paid for any damage that had happened. The hunters held her to her word as only 7 hunters died. She had to be their ruler and she told them to find a place they could settle down then one where their way of life wouldn't interfere with other cultures. She really hoped this was impossible. She sat in her and Encre's shared room on the window sill. She looked out while listening to people fighting on the other side of the door.
