Fallacy slept. A few days had passed and only a few vampires had dared to enter the room due to the phoenix liking her. It refused to let them feed her it would snatch the food from them and sit on her stomach instead. It did that because they knew she would refuse to eat anyway. She only drank water. Someone ran down the hall trying to get away from something. They accidentally ran into the room Fallacy laid in. He instantly smelled how sweet her blood was and looked at her. He thought about just drinking all his blood but then he smelled something else something that scared the shit out of him. She smelled like Encre the vampire king. The vampire debated with himself should he drink or not? It was really tempting but then the door opened behind him. He smelled the same smell as the girl in front of him had. He gulped and turned around. Right behind him stood the king himself. 

"and what are you doing in here?" He asked.

"I-I um," The vampire tried to come with an excuse. Fallacy was about to wake so Encre took the vampire with him into the hallway.

"Don't you have to lock the door or something?" The vampire asked.

"No She's blind and can't walk yet plus my phoenix have taken a liking to her so they make sure that she doesn't leave. so why were you in her room?" Encre asked. 

"Honestly it was an accident," The vampire said. 

"Sure you'll have the feed my phoenix today," Encre said and quickly left. The vampire knew he fucked up. Encre gave the maids notice of who would have to feed his pet. They quickly found him and gave him the food before getting away. The vampire walked into the phoenix room with the food. No one heard from him for the rest of that day. Fallacy used her strings to see anything around her. There was nothing out of the ordinary. She thought she heard something but it must have been her imagination. Another sound came. it sounded like someone tapping on a window. Fallacy got up the best she could and fumbled around trying to open the window. She succeeded and in flew a bird that instantly dragged her back to bed. The phoenix gently laid on her stomach again. She gently caressed them as they shared their magic with her. 

"So do you have a name?" She asked the bird on her stomach. They nodded and flew to sit on her chest. they gently merged their magic together with Fallacy's soul making her pass out. Encre felt that he lost the bond he had with his phoenix. He ran to Fallacy's room and opened to see that his phoenix chose a mortal. Encre were inraged. He took the phoenix catching it off guard and ran to its room. He didn't know that intervening tor a part of Fallacy's soul off. The door closed and fallacy stirred awake with a huge pain in her soul. She curled up and cried. She tried to calm the pain by covering her soul with her magic but it only made it worse. She hugged herself for some kind of comfort. She didn't notice but the door had opened and two maids stood there with food for her. They saw something move under her blanket and removed it. the tray with food fell to the ground and one of them tried to heal her while the other one went to get the medic. Encre had locked the phoenix into its old cage and saw a maid rush by then return with the medic of the castle. He didn't think much of it until he walked by Fallacy's room and looked in. The medic examined her.

" Look like a part of her soul tor of for some unknown reason. About one fifth. There is nothing I can do as the pain will never fade away fully and I'm not sure if the child will survive when you think about how little she eats," The medic said. Encre stiffened a bit knowing that he caused her more pain.

"So is there any way to help her?" Encre asked scaring the shit out of everyone.

"Sharing magic with her will make sure the child survives but for her soul, I'm afraid that it's almost impossible,"
