Fallacy laid on a bed. The local medic gently checked her for anything alarming and found two things. Her soul was betting too fast and her souling was panicked. They gently shook her to wake her. Fallacy woke. The medic spoke to her ever so gently as to calm her down.
"So you saved our village from the demon but how?" They asked.
"I'm sorry but it's kinda personal," The medic nodded understanding.
"Do you feel any pain?" They asked.
"Not really. My back hurts a bit but I'll manage," Fallacy said. The medic smiled. Gently pushed Fallacy in a sitting position and placed a few cold rocks on the bed. She then pushed Fallacy so she laid down. The medic then gently activated the rocks and looked Fallacy in the eyes. They noticed that she was blind. The medic pitied her. They gently covered fallacy with a blanket as they had to remove her shirt to check on the souling.
"I'll let the stones do their work and let your husband in," They said.
"We're not married he's the brother of my children's father," Fallacy said. The medic was embarrassed. They opened the door and Pen rushed in. Pen looked at Fallacy and noticed her awake.
"You should probably get her some food since she threw up right before she killed the demon," Pen said and the medic nodded. Pen sighed and sat beside Fallacy's head.
"What happened?" Fallacy asked. Pen was stunned. How could she not know?
"You killed the demon," Pen said.
"The last thing I remember is getting grabbed right after trowing up care to explain what happened after?" The medic came gave the food to Pen and left as they clearly weren't welcome. The food items were a slice of breed with cheese a boiled egg and a cup of herb soup.
"I grabbed you so we could escape you get a panic attack then struggled then went limp for a second before jumping out of a window and killing the demon," He explained. Fallacy visibly stiffened. Pen sighed and feed Fallacy a bit of bread with cheese.
"Please tell me what happened. You scared me fall," Pen begged. He actually begged for something. Fallacy had tears in her eyes but she refused to let them fall.
"I was trained to become a blind warrior. They forced a survival instinct upon me that whenever I feel threatened then I'll kill the threat," Fallacy said she was visibly shaking. She couldn't stop her tears from falling as she tried to suppress her emotions. Pen didn't expect this reaction especially considering how casually she would usually speak of the subject. He gave her some of his magic hoping that it would calm her down. Diarnan sat on Fallacy's chest also sharing her magic. Fallacy gently hugged the bird. They gently rubbed their head against her arms. Fallacy soon calmed down.
"Guess pregnancies really do make women more emotional," Fallacy ends up saying. Pen just stared. She was three weeks pregnant. Just how bad was it usually? He looked at her and found that the best to do was to change the subject.
"People were so grateful for what you had done that I got enough food to cover you for about a month. I'll hunt as we progress towards the eastern mountains," He said. Fallacy was thankful for the change of subject. She nodded. They spoke a bit but always ended up in silence again. The medic soon entered. She sent Pen out and removed the stones.
"You had a shock go through your spine as you landed after jumping out of the tower. You should take it easy for the next few days," They said.
"Thank you," Fallacy said and got her shirt on again. She walked to Pen and they continued their travel.

Encre was furious. His children and their mother were gone. No one knew where to. He looked at the spies that should find out where she was.
"Encre your still young you can find a wife that can carry your child for you," One of the elder vampires tried to advise him.
"No that is what I can't. I'm born without a soul so she may be my only way of getting a heritage as my brother is dead. If a father isn't around their children will it result in a miscarriage which could easily kill her. I know how fragile her soul is," Encre said. Everyone got quiet and understood the seriousness of the situation. Encre sent everyone out again. His adviser looked at him in shock.
"Now I'm not intending to anger you but why did you make it possible for her to leave then?" They asked.
"Because I wasn't expecting her to be short-tempered and our medic to be an asshole," Encre said. His rage made him destroy the wall beside him. He noticed what he had done and fix it before leaving to rest. He hasn't been able to sleep since she escaped. He laid in bed and felt something that shocked him. His bond with his phoenix was being used. His magic was taken and instantly used for something else. He smiled in relief. It eased him a lot. It told him that all they needed was to find her and it didn't have a time where it was too late unless she died. Encre had to admit he didn't care for their children that much but care more for her. He had felt her soul getting stressed while speaking of her native country. He thought for a few moments until falling asleep.
