Fallacy sighed. She was laying on a bed while the medic examined all her children. She knew this was for the best. Encre entered with Pen.
"First of I have an explanation as to why she can carry your children. Second All four are healthy, but one is a bit weaker than the others. Lastly, Fallacy will need a magic supplement, either through medicine or sharing of magic to carry them to term. If she gets neither then there is a high chance the children will die and take you with them," The midwife said while talking to both Fallacy and Encre. Fallacy wasn't happy with the news. She would need to take more medicine than she already did. The midwife looked at Fallacy.
"Do you want supplements or for someone to share their magic with you?" She asked.
"Supplement," Fallacy said. The midwife got up.
"Oh and My name is Anna," She said before leaving. Fallacy sat against the headboard.
"I believe Peinture told you everything," Fallacy said.
"He did and I wouldn't have believed him if you hadn't killed a demon in my entrance," Encre said. A comfortable silence settled between them.
"How did you manage to get pregnant?" Encre finally asked.
"I have a soul condition that makes my soul swell. When that happens my soul needs more magic to be stable. Magic I don't have. When you raped me it took magic from your body and combined which is how our magic merged and created the children currently growing in me," Fallacy said. He looked at her. It would explain it and also make people stop hating her. They thought she was lying. Everyone in the castle thought that Fallacy lied to trap encre. Wasn't unthinkable since he was soulless and therefore shouldn't be able to have kids. Encre left and summoned everyone with status or influence to a meeting. He explained how he managed to become a father and told them to not make life hard for her. It came as a shock to many but Anna came to her and confirmed it. Fallacy herself was introduced to them all afterwards with the phoenix on her shoulder.
"What happened to your eyes?" One of them asked.
"Your king damaged them," She said. She was leaning against the wall with her stomach bulging a bit as four children took up a lot of space. Anna looked at her.
"Do you know if it's fixable?" she asked.
"It is but the medic who worked on it said I would be blind permanently," Fallacy said.
"Mind if I take a look?" Anna asked ignoring the hoard of noblemen around her. Fallacy unwrapped a piece of cloth she had used to hide her eyes with for the past two weeks only to hear someone gag. Anna walked to her and examined the scarring.
"That is pretty hard to fix," She said knowing exactly what Etana had have thought about. Anna placed a hand on the scar and tried to heal it. Fallacy dodged the magic.
"I really wouldn't do that," She said but Anna ignored her and tried.
"Shouldn't you do this in a more private setting?" One of the men asked.
"If she is comfortable then I don't mind," Anna just replied until she suddenly yelped and took her hand to herself seeing a horrible burn mark forming.
"My king are you venomous?" She asked while healing her hand.
"No," Encre said. Anna then went through all the possibilities in her head.
"The injury is my fault. I'm a Mángré-" Fallacy didn't get to finish that sentence before she caught a dagger mid-air that was aimed for her soul. It was caught between the tip of her fingers. Diaran was ready to roast the nobleman but Fallacy stopped them.
"Really?" She just asked. Encre looked at the men in front of him and had the guard attacking the only one who understood the seriousness of the situation. He was held down with Encre walking over to him.
"Suave what the hell was that?" Encre demanded to know.
"Mángrin zhanshì she is a Mángrin zhanshì. Do you know the danger it is to let her live?" Suave asked. Fallacy turned to him and already hated him for mispronouncing it.
"I don't, and quite frankly, I don't care eighter as she is my only way of ever getting an heir," Encre said looking at him.
"If it soothes you to know I was only in training until the age of 8," Fallacy said. She was done with everyone for the day and honestly wanted to go home.
"What is a whatever he said even?" Someone asked.
"Most people know them as the night warriors of Agdan," She said and now everyone knew exactly what she was talking about.
"We can't just take your word for it," They said. Fallacy looked at them.
"The decision is up to you," She said ready to leave.
"Where are you going?" Encre asked.
"Home," She said. She left the room and walked along the long and confusing hallways only to have guards trying to block her. She dodged every attempt they made to hold her in the castle as she left. She sighed as she knew it would take her five hours to go home. She should probably get a horse to shorten the transportation time. The question is just what breed? Probably a mustang as their endurance is one of the best. She walked and sighed heavily not wanting to walk.
