angst warning

"Fallacy how did you know about what my father did?" encre asked. Fallacy sighed. They were in fallacy's room as she had just taken a nap after what happened.

"Your mother was toriels great great great grandfather's sister," Fallacy said to Encre's shock. He clearly didn't know probably because that wasn't the entire truth.

"If you ever want to talk about it can I tell you that I know what it's like to have cruel parents," Fallacy said to encre's surprise. She rolled up the sleeve of her relatively comfortable dress and showed her arm which was covered in a very thin layer of ecto skin. Under were healed cracks and scars. Encre understood. He gently took her arm and hide her scars seeing that brought her discomfort. His eyes gazed at her gently and he picked her up causing her to yelp.

"What are you doing encre?" Fallacy asked. Encre tried to carry her to his office but she swiftly escaped and stood behind him with her cheeks puffed up slightly. The king looked bummed.

"Taking you up on your offer. We can talk in my office. It's soundproof," Encre said. Fallacy just walked in front only to realize she had no idea where his office was or if he had more. Encre smiled when he also realized that. He lead the way until they stood before his main office. He had a lot all built differently because when he got angry did he have destructive tendencies and some were made more durable than others. This one was built so he could be locked in there during his heat cycles. It was extra durable and soundproof. They got comfortable in the chairs and fallacy seemed to almost snuggle into the soft armchair she sat in. Encre chuckled at the way fallacy acted. It was quite out of character for her.

"What?" Fallacy asked.

"You act like a kitten," Encre commented. Fallacy straightened up instantly.

"No I don't," She said. Encre just chuckled but then let out a sigh.

"Should I just start or?" He asked. Fallacy turned her head to the wall.

"Yes," She said. Encre smiled at her and sighed as his face turned sour.

"Well, my father never cared if I was around or not as long as I was alive and healthy. I often saw him hurt my mother or sleep around with the servants which at the time I didn't understand. When I was 6 years old was when it happened it was actually on my birthday," Encre said. He started having tears in his eyes. Fallacy got up and placed a hand on his cheek.

"Cry children, men, and even gods cry," Fallacy said. Encre started crying.

"He pinned my mother to the floor and repeatedly slammed the back of her head into the stone tile," Encre said. He broke down crying. Fallacy realized no one ever talked with him about his trauma. She hugged him against her chest as he cried. He gently hugged her back being mindful of the lives in her belly. It took a good five minutes.

"He didn't notice me before he left the room and saw my terrified face. He ignored me as I fell to my knees. It was one of the councilmembers who saw me afterward and found me hurdled up against my mother's dress and dust. I told him everything and my father lost his throne. My grandmother took over until I was old enough to rule and the councilmember who found me took me under his wing until I was of age. I still consider him my father to this day," Encre said as he slowly calmed down. He still hugged fallacy. He was slowly calming down and fallacy soothed him by rubbing his back. They let go and fallacy walked over to the door locking it.

"My brother still doesn't know how our mother died he just knows that our father was removed from the throne because of something I said, but not exactly what happened," Encre finished. Fallacy gave him a soft smile.
