It was afternoon and Encre's castle was quiet. Fallacy had just woken up from a nightmare and walked down the halls wanting to clear her head. it was 2 weeks since the werewolves had kidnapped her and she had taken all the magic from the necklace leaving her blind once more. She walked into the empty halls of the big castle. Everything was dark and fallacy was the only soul up or so she thought. She saw Encre awake once again. He smiled at her softly as he meet him.

"What are you doing up at this hour?" He asked as he got closer to her. There was barely a meter between them. Fallacy sighed.

"I couldn't sleep," She said. Encre sighed and placed a hand on her cheek softly.

"The children or a nightmare?" He asked softly as he caressed the bone. Fallacy leaned into the touch unconsciously making Encre smile softly.

"A bit of both?" She said seeming very unsure herself as her voice cracked. Encre sighed but brought her closer in a soft hug. He held her for a while she didn't have the energy to fight it. Encre placed his jaw on her skull.

"If you want then you can sleep with me. I'm about to head to bed myself," Encre offered. Fallacy pushed him away softly.

"Sorry, but we can't. If people find out then I-" Encre stopped her by placing a finger on her lips softly and removing it after a few seconds having learned the hard way to not leave it on for too long. He had a scar to prove it.

"To hell with them. Everyone knows that you have been plagued with nightmares ever since the werewolves captured you. No one will judge you and even then you are the last in the castle that goes to bed and the first who is up. No one will ever find out," Encre said as he placed a hand on her shoulder. She was still unsure and shook off the hand. He smiled softly hoping that she would at least consider it. Fallacy seemed very uneasy. He didn't try to touch her again.

"If you want to sleep in my room just walk in as your pregnancy progresses will most people think it's so I can nurse them while we sleep. We both know that you can't manage on your own forever," He said. Fallacy turned away from him with an expression encre had never before seen. "And that makes me a failure," she said. Encre was shocked by her response. His smile turned into a frown. He grabbed her upper arms gently. He didn't know that she thought that way.

"It doesn't," He said. Fallacy freed herself once again. She had tears going down her face in a steady stream as she faced him once again.

"It does Encre. What kind of woman can't even sustain her own children in the womb?" She asked. Encre sighed. It was painfully clear that it had bothered fallacy for a while. He wanted to comfort her but couldn't.

"The kind that has more than should be possible," He said trying to soothe her. Unfortionally it did the opposite.

"That kind is defective. Those who can't bear children or keep the amount down to a manageable level both kinds are defective," she said. Encre sighed once again. This was their cultural differences showing. Differences he didn't think were that big until now.

"There is no such thing as a defective person," He said. Tears were still falling down fallacy's cheek leaving a soft glow.

"I am defective," She said. Encre harshly grabbed her shoulder and made them face each other even though she was blind. No matter what she did, he would not let go. His frown was replaced with an expression of anger.

"I never want to hear you talk like that again. Fallacy. If I find out that you are talking shit about yourself like that I will hunt you down," he said as he squished her shoulders to the point where it hurt her. She tried to struggle but he didn't care he had to change her way of thinking before the children were born because that thought process is dangerous.
