"Have you seen Jeo?"

"Who?" Giselle cocked her head to the side, looking at Karina confused. It was the last period and the only class she had with Winter. But the problem was, she wasn't in class dispute it being 10 minutes into class already.

"Shit- I mean Winter." Karina sighed, standing in front of Giselle with a worried look.

"You have a nickname for her already?" Ryujin butted in, raising her eyebrows teasingly. All her friends made a collective 'ouuuu~' sound to tease the slightly flustered woman even more. But Karina had no time to be flustered at a time like this, she was slightly worried for Winter. She had a perfect attendance to all her classes, there's no way she would just skip.

"I seen her last period but I saw her walking with some boy at the end of class?" Wonyoung mentioned, trying to remember the recent moments in her foggy memory.

Karina raised an eyebrow at this statement, 'A boy?'

Karina relaxed her shoulders slightly, her gaze turning back to the classroom door for hope that Winter would come in the classroom. There was nothing. The door she wanted to be opened so badly stayed closed, sighing in disappointment as she took her seat. Karina felt a weird feeling, slightly feeling upset.

'A boy? Why was she with a boy? Does she have any male friends?'

Karina's thoughts overwhelmed her. Usually she wouldn't spend this much time on thinking on a person at all. But her mind just kept wondering about Winter even though she hardly knew why. Why should she care for someone she hardly knows?

Maybe because she's just a friend.

Karina cares about all her friends.

She sighed before agreeing with herself, 'I only care about her because she's my friend.'  She spoke in her mind, staring blankly at the chalk board at the front of class.

"Stay away from Karina." The boy spoke once Winter followed him at the back of the school, standing outside with a brick wall at the side of her.

Winter blinked in confusion. She couldn't see if he was being serious or not. "What?" She questioned, furrowing her eyebrows confusingly.

"Are you deaf?!" The male shouted, pushing Winter against the brick wall madly. "I said stay away from her!" He hollered, the angry red showing in his pupils.

Winter's sensitive body had perked up, clasping on her chest as she tried to catch her breath. She had always been sensitive to pain and if it all got too much she would have panic attacks and soon pass out. She looked at the ground trying to calm herself.

"I saw you two that night." She heard the man spoke, his fist tightening like he was holding himself back from punching Winter. It scared her like hell she couldn't deny. "I don't want her to fall for anyone else but me! I will make her mine!" He raised his voice once again, Winter sighing in frustration.

"Why should I stay away from her?" She raised her head, her low eyes glaring up at the furious male. "She is my friend." Winter spoke clearly.

There was no way she would ignore Karina over some fanboy's orders. To be honest the boy was quite ugly and way out of Karina's league from the way Winter saw him. "I see the way she looks at you." The male muttered through his gritted teeth, hating to admit the fact of Karina's love eyes.

"She should be the one to look at me like that! I will do anything to make her mine." There was a groan sound once the man suddenly swung his fist at Winter's stomach, making her clutch on her stomach and slide down the wall in pain. She cussed him out in her head but she couldn't help but groan out in pain, her eyes shutting tight.

"Do not even speak to her." The boy pointed his finger at Winter, "I'm warning you." That was the last words Winter heard before hearing the shoes disappear in the distance.

Her stomach hurt like hell, she knew she was weak and she couldn't help but feel a hint of disappointment. She hated herself for being so weak, she wanted to be able to stand up for herself but she just couldn't. Her dad was the main reason she couldn't be strong even if she tried. She feared every act of violence.

Winter did as much as she could to calm herself. Pressing her head against the brick wall as she panted heavily.

'This won't do.'  She said to herself before forcing her shaky hands to reach for the phone in her pocket. Her fingers trembled over the buttons, her breath shortening every second she tried to take a big breath. Winter pulled the phone to her ear.

"Hello? Min?" The voice over the line spoke.

"Ning.." Winter called out, the pain clearly showing in her raspy voice. "Can you come get me?"

"I'm coming."

Karina finished drying off her damped hair after she put on her clothes, walking to her bed in her pajamas. She sighed as she finally got into her bed, snuggling herself in the covers as she grabbed her phone.

Karina: Hello Jeo! Are you okay?  I noticed you weren't at the last class we are in together.

She nodded to herself in agreement. That was the right message to send. She hummed before setting her phone down and turning on her TV as she waited for a response.

But as time flew by she never heard the ding  she was waiting for. She paused her show and went back to her phone, squinting her eyes in confusion. "That's weird. Usually she'd answer quickly" Karina talked to herself as she looked at the unread message she sent.

Karina: Jeo? Are you okay?

Karina: Why aren't you answering?

Karina: I want to talk with you, Jeo..

Karina: Have you already went to sleep?

The raven haired checked the time that showed 11 PM, it had been late but she hardly noticed.

Karina: You must've already slept. Sleep well, Jeo. Sweet dreams :)

Karina: Goodnight !

Karina sighed before shutting off her phone, throwing it next to her. She hadn't been in the mood to watch TV either so she turned her TV as well. Sinking into the covers she forced herself to close her eyes. But Karina didn't go to sleep instantly. She hadn't seen Winter all day even though many other people at school had saw her. The thought of it just made her upset and clench her jaw in worry. Knowing Winter disappeared after her class with some boy just didn't sit right with her. She needed to know Where the younger one was but she forced herself to just sleep it off. She figured she would just ask Winter tomorrow.

After countless thoughts she finally dozed off to sleep.
