The ride to Winter's home was quiet.

Karina felt awkward this time. She knew Winter knew nothing about last night but she felt guilty for letting it happen in the first place.

She shifted her eyes to get a look at Winter, slowly turning her head. She saw the brunette  looking at the car window, the road speeding by as Karina drove. The silence was not as comfortable as the other car rides they had. But she knew it was just the same as the other times.

Except the other times she was able to get out the in and out the car properly.

After the never ending silence, Karina finally stopped in front of Winter's house. Winter looked at Karina who already was giving her a nervous stare. Winter unbuckled her seatbelt, smiling softly, "aren't you going to carry me out?" This made Karina quickly gather her senses, unbuckling her seatbelt in a heartbeat.

She opened her side of the door before rushing to Winter's. With a small sigh, opening the car door to help Winter out. Karina let go of the car door once it stayed open by itself, looking down at the younger with slight hesitation.

She hasn't worked out in months.

"Well? Can you not carry me?" Winter giggled, making Karina frown from the jokingly question.

"I can." Karina cleared her throat, preparing herself by taking a deep breath. She carefully took a hold of Winter's waist with one hand, her other hand holding up Winter's legs. Karina just went for it and quickly carried Winter out of the car, shutting the car door with her foot. She noticed a small giggle release from the younger, making her look at Winter with a soft smile.

Surprisingly it was not as bad as Karina thought. Winter was light as a feather, her body fitted perfectly in Karina's arms. God has blessed her even if she hadn't been working out lately.

But the older one still took careful steps, walking up the stairs to Winter's front door, looking at each step as she held Winter. "Hold my neck so you don't fall." Karina muttered, looking down at her feet as she slowly stepped up another stair. Without question, Winter wrapped her arms around Karina's neck. This is when Karina paused for a moment, lowering her head to hide her stupid smile.

"Rina? Why are you smiling?" Winter gave her a tiny glare, feeling slightly embarrassed by being carried. The raven hair blew her cheeks slightly up to stop her smile, lifting her head up slowly. She looked into the pouty girl's eyes, her eyes glistened, small stars filling her orbs. It is truly always the most beautiful moment to Karina. Looking inside Winter's eyes explain everything to her. It's like all her problems disappear even for a spilt second.

"It's nothing," she pressed her lips together shyly, looking away as she stepped up the last stair. "How will we get in?" Karina asked approaching the front door of Winter's home.

Winter looked at Karina without saying anything before reaching in the mailbox that was placed on the brick wall beside the two. Curiously Karina watched her dig for something.

'wait.. don't tell me-'

Just then Winter pulled out a small key that showed a doggy design on it.

"Jesus Christ.." She sighed underneath her breath. "Why is your key in there?" Karina asked before taking the key, slowly lifting her hand from Winter's waist but making sure she didn't loose control of Winter's weight.

"Because, it's easier. I don't have to carry it everywhere." Winter answered with a smile. Karina shook her head, the key fitting in the key hole of the door. "Still, someone can easily break in." Karina said, opening the door to the house once she unlocked the two locks.
