They reach security for the palace and the older, tall dark skinned man behind the desk says "nice to see you back lieutenant Commander."
"It's good to be back, chuck. This is a new member of five-0 and also my girlfriend, Lieutenant Evelyn Buckley. Evie this is chuck the security guard." Steve introduced the two.
"Nice to meet you Lieutenant." Chuck says
"Nice to meet you as well Chuck, and please call me Evie." Evie says, shaking Chuck's hand.
"Okay Evie." Chuck says with a smile.
"We better head upstairs." Steve says.
"Yes." Evie agrees and waves bye to Chuck.
They reach the elevator and Steve gives Evie the code to access their floor.
"This place is amazing." Evie says as the elevator doors open revealing the five-0 logo on glass doors.
"It's better than the sandbox." Steve says, making Evie snort.
"That's very true." Evie replies as Steve holds open the door for her. She smiles gratefully at him.
The teams are all in the office, some are in their personal offices and Lori and Danny are at the tablet table when Steve and a beautiful tall lean woman come in. She's beautiful. She has a birthmark above her left eye and she's all smiles and curly hair.
Lori could never compete with her beauty.
Steve looks up to see Lori and Danny.
"Hey guys." Steve says smiling as he greats the pair.
The arrival of Steve and the new girl gets everyone out of their offices.
"Well, look who finally decided to come to Hawaii!" Chin says going over to Evie.
"Hey chin! How are you?" Evie asks, hugging the lieutenant.
"I'm good, real good. What about yourself?" Chin asks, smiling wide.
"I'm better now than I have been." Evie answers honestly.
"That's good, you remember my cousin right?" Chin asks, introducing kono.
"Yes Kono, right?" Evie asks
"Yea it's good to see you again." Kono says hugging the blonde.
"Same." Evie says with a smile.
"How do you guys know each other?" Danny asks gesturing between the three.
"Evie would come home to Hawaii with Steve on leave from the navy and she'd always stop by HPD and have lunch with John and I at least once a week while she was here." Chin says
"Yes and I meant met Kono through Chin." Evie explains, then sets the danishes down and says "we brought danishes, I hope there's a kind everyone likes." Evie says shyly which breaks Steve's heart as she's never been shy around him or his family before. It just makes him hate the 118 all the more.
"Is there a blueberry one?" Danny asks with a raised eyebrow.
"Yes Danno there is." Steve answers with a smirk.
"How many times do I have to tell you not to call me that?" Danny says grabbing the blueberry danish as Evie grabs the chocolate and raspberry ones and hands the chocolate one to Steve who gratefully accepts it and gives her a chaste kiss.
"So introductions for those of you who don't know Evie." Steve says
"This is Lieutenant Everlyn Buckley. Retired Navy seal and former firefighter." Steve says as he takes a bite of his danish.
