Eddie pov.

Eddie is not feeling like going to this Bar-B-Q but he knows if he doesn't Athena will rain hell down on him.
Learning about Buck's past was hard. Especially knowing she was the one to save him all those years ago.

Eddie is getting dressed when he's pulled out of his thoughts by Abuela yelling for him.

"What's wrong Abuela?" Eddie asks, concerned.

"You have been mean to that precious Evie." Abuela states with her arms crossed. She starts ranting in rapid Spanish then says in English.

"Evie saved Chris during the tsunami and this is how you thank her by turning your back on her? You were raised better than that!" Abuela says. Just then Chris comes out of his room with red rimmed eyes.

"What's wrong Mijo?" Eddie asks

"May just told harry, Denny and me what you all have been doing to Bucky and it's not fair." Chris yells.

"Chris, it's complicated." Eddie says, rubbing a hand over his face.

"Is it though Edmundo?" Abuela asks.

"Okay I'm sorry I was a jerk to her even before the truck bombing and that's on me. I'll apologize." Eddie says, he does feel sorry for everything he has done to her, and he doesn't know why he only used her then threw her away when Shannon came back, he should've known better than him and Shannon working things out. Then Shannon dies and he almost loses Evie. He was scared,  then the  embolism and the tsunami happened It was too much.

"You better." Abuela and Chris both say.

Eddie sighs but goes and finishes getting ready.

Meanwhile the BBQ moved to a park that the 118 usually use for gatherings so Evie and Steve arrive just as Evie sees Sam and hondo both arrive with their familys. But what Evie wasn't expecting was Jason to climb out of the back of Sam's suv and Jay to climb out of Hondos.

"Jay! Jason!" Evie yells as she jumps on Jay's back.
Jay laughs as he wraps his arms around her legs like they did a million times before in the desert.

"Well hello to you to pit." Jay says laughing. Just then as Steve shakes his head at their antics, Eddie pulls up with Chris. And his chest tightens  at how carefree and happy Evie looks with a bunch of guys he doesn't know.

Jason tickles Evies sides as he used to do in the desert when she was on Jays back. And Steve shakes his head as he asks  "you two done flirting with my girlfriend yet?"

Theirs whoops and hollers from all four seal men, "bought damn time." Jay says as he lets Evie off his back to give her a proper hug. Jason hugs her, then  Sam and Hondo,  as well as Michelle and Niechel "Glad everything's working out for you Pit." Hondo says

"Thank you,  me too." Evie says returning the hug.

Eddie feels jealousy over the obvious bond Buck has with these men and it hurts him that she doesn't have that with him or the 118.

Eddie gets out of the truck and lets Chris out, who barrels over to Buck screaming "Bucky." At the use of her nickname she smiles so wide. Steve has always known she's good with kids but to see it always melt his heart. He wants that and he wants it with her. One maybe two hell even three kids and Eddie his dog, yea he can picture that along with wedding bells in the very near future.
