The 118

They pull up to the 118 and Evie blows out a shaky breath. Steve kisses her birthmark, as he asks  "you sure you don't want me to do this for you?"
Evie shakes her head.

"No, I need to do this." Evie says matter of factly.

Steve reluctantly agrees. He knows she needs some type of closure. Hopefully she gets it.

They walk hand in hand to the bay doors. When they walk onto the apparatus floor, she's met with sounds of laughter coming from the loft. She groans as she hears Athena, Maddie, and Karen. She didn't want to face them all today. But she forces herself forward, Steve being the blessing he is, leans into her ear and says "I love you, nothing and no one will change that. You got this angel."
Evie sends a grateful smile towards him  and murmurs "I love you." As they go up the loft steps.

She reaches the top of the steps to be met with glares from Bobby, Eddie , and Chim. Hen looks nervously from Buck to Karen and back again.

Tell tale sign that her wife doesn't know what she's done to Buck.

Maddie smiles as she sees her baby sister, so does Athena and Karen. Athena's smile turns into her mama bear face when she eyes up Steve. Steve would intimidate anyone , with his tattoos, his 6 '1 frame that is broad and muscular, he screams either one of two things don't mess with me or in Evies case he's her walking wet dream.

But he'd be any parent's worst nightmare. And although the Buckleys can't stand Evie, Athena has always been the mother she longed for.

"And who are you?" Athena asks.

"Lieutenant Commander  Steve McGarrett. Evie's boyfriend." Steve says smugly as he glares daggers into Eddie, because a while  ago Evie told Steve that Eddie had just used Evie for sex until his estranged wife came back, she told him all of this over a bottle of vodka and Ben and Jerry's ice cream, (rockie road, her favorite.) as they FaceTimed each other. So she wasn't expecting Steve to give Eddie a warm greeting, not in the slightest. Honestly she's surprised that Steve hasn't gone over and decked him yet, with the way Eddies glaring at Buck.

"Lieutenant Commander? That's the army?" Athena asks.
"Navy." Evie, Steve and Eddie all say in unison.
"Navy seals to be exact." Steve says smugly, still glaring at Eddie, whose jaw clenches.

"What are you doing with Buckley then?" Eddie asks, and god steve so badly wants to go over and deck him, show him what damage he can do. But all steve does is clench his fist and says, "Evie and i served together for 9 almost 10 years, she's a damn good sniper and demolition and explosive expert and that doesn't include her heart of gold, and her ability to see the good in anyone, even when they don't deserve her." Steve growls.
"She's a ringer." Eddie snarks.

And god love him,  Steve full on belly laugh.

"What is it that you told me once about hell week?" Steve asks, directing his attention to Evie.

"Hell week was a piece of cake, now growing up in the buckley household, that was hell." Evie remembers  the conversation all too well.

"She passed all her training and specialty's top of her class, she went through BUD/S quicker than i've seen anyone do it, and was put on a special ops team right out of training."

"Yea right, that's all lies." Eddie says matter of factly.

"The special ops team she was put on was run by me, it was the seal team Domino."

Eddie visibly pales at the mentions of seal team Domino. It was an elite team of the deadliest seals the navy had to offer. It consisted of Steve, Evie, Jay Halstead, Sam Hanna, Hondo and Jason Hayes. Everyone in the military heard rumors about team Domino but even higher ups didn't have clearance for it.
