With a heavy sigh, I unlock the front door. Setting my bag onto my desk, I hang my coat and untie my ponytails.
I sit down in front of the desk and I turn on my computer. I reach for the business card and set it on the desk.
A tech company.
I typed the company name into google, and I searched for job offers.
I scrolled a bit more and found that they were offering positions as receptionists. I mean, how hard could it be to be a receptionist?
I set up an interview, shut off my computer and drifted off to sleep in my chair.

A few days pass by, and I'm getting ready for my afternoon interview. My boyfriend Noah and I had an argument last night.

I fumbled on my words and stuttered... a lot. Which was funny because I don't stutter at all. Talking is literally my hobby.
As I sat and waited for my uber, a familiar looking man walked past me.
Damien? What is he doing here?
"Damien!" I shouted. His snaps in my direction, brows drawn in, face glaring. Looks like his day isn't going well either.
I want to talk to him about our little reunion which occurred the day I quit my last job. The way he left so abruptly made me feel like I did something wrong.
Maybe he didn't recognise me.
I stood up and paced towards him.
"How have you been? It's been too long!" I squeal, going in for a hug. Yet to my surprise, he tenses and pushes me off him, giving me a cold glare.
He doesn't say anything.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have touched you without con-"
