We laugh again, this time so loud that everyone in the area around us looks over, but we're having too much fun to care.
I called an Uber for me and Kristie to go to the spa, and we ran into Isabella when we arrived. All three of us relax on the lounge chairs in our white robes, and our hair in low buns.
"So what brings you two here?" Isabella asks, once our laughter calms down.
"Just escaping reality." I answer, suddenly intrigued to know why she's here. She nods in understanding.
"Same." She says, and I instantly spot her lie. I decide to ask her when Kristie isn't in earshot, in case it's personal.
"I'm going to grab another drink," Kristie says, getting up to leave.
"Grab me one too!" I call behind her.
I look to Isabella, preparing my question. "Why are you really here?" I ask. She furrows her eyebrows, putting on a 'confused' act. "Come on, girl. I know something's wrong."
She takes a deep breath, and I place a hand on her shoulder. "Jasper was killed, and I came here to just... get it off my mind for a bit." Her voice gets shaky and I immediately regret asking.
"Oh my." I gasp. I really shouldn't have asked that. She probably feels horrible. But I can't help but wonder who killed her boyfriend. "I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have asked."
"I'm not a good liar, am I?" She giggles, obviously trying to get her mind off of it and I give her a small smile. "Don't apologise, really. I probably ruined the mood."
"Baby, you can speak to me about it." I let her know, and she pulls me into a hug. Kristie is taking an awfully long time grabbing a drink. I glance to the drink bar but she's not there. "Where's Kristie?" I ask.
Isabella follows my eyes, and we stand up to look for her. Where the drinks bar was, the barista was no longer there. There was a hallway there, and I peer around the doorway.
There we see the barista pinned to the wall, making out with Kristie. "Gross, get a room." I scrunch my face in disgust, gagging at the sight. They break the kiss for a second to look at me and Isabella, before continuing with their make out session without a care in the world.
I grab Isabella's arm, dragging her away from the nasty ass sight.
"Your chain is cute." Isabella says, and I giggle. She reaches out for it but before I can stop her she sees 'Damien' engraved in it. She gasps. "He gave you his chain?"
"Well... I kinda just... took it." I admit, and her brows raise even higher.
"So you do like him?" She accuses.
My eyebrows raise, and I immediately shoot down her ridiculous accusation. "What? No, of course not. He's the worst." I splutter, but she doesn't look convinced.
"Tell me everything." She demands. I sigh and begin to talk.
The rest of the spa day was the most relaxed I've ever been this whole month. Once the day ends, all three of us walk out of the building at 7 pm. "How are you all getting home?" I ask, making sure everyone has a safe way to get home.
"I'm getting picked up." Isabella answers.
"I'm driving." Kristie says, and I nod. We all say our byes and part ways.

I get to the penthouse in absolute shambles. My period decided to surprise me in the Uber and I couldn't help but worry if I leaked anywhere.
