I barely got any sleep last night. Not only because I got home at 2 am, I was thinking to myself.

About Nevaeh.

I shouldn't have touched her in the car. She'd probably be fuming when she remembers what happened.

Fuck.

The way she moaned, arched her back, rode my palm... I trail a finger across my bottom lip as heat spread to my groin.

She's been consuming my thoughts since I carried her into her bedroom last night. It'd taken everything in me not to sleep with her.

It's 7:50, and I'm dreading the moment she walks through my office doors either with a coffee, or with a gun.

I watch the time tick, and my finger taps against my desk. I'm meant to be signing contracts and creating documents, but my eyes are fixated on the clock. 8:00 am.

She's not here. She's never late. Did something happen? My finger taps quicken, growing impatient. I don't like it when I don't know what's going to happen next.

8:01. She's still not here. I glance through the window separating our offices for the umpteenth time yet the lights remain inactive.

When it hits 8:10, I'm going to call, I tell myself.

8:02. My fingers itch to reach the phone but I restrain myself as impatience slowly begins to take over me. I count the seconds in my head.

8:05. Fuck it. I pick up the black telephone on my desk, dialling her number and calling her. The phone rings for what felt like 10 minutes.

"Hello?" A groggy voice calls from the other side of the line. "Mr. Anderson?" Had she just waken up?

"Get up. You have work today," I spit into the phone. I was stressing over her while she was sleeping peacefully in her bed. Then I fully register what she said. "Don't call me that." I seethe.

I never actually expected her to start calling me Mr. Anderson. It was the way my name rolled off her tongue. It was too smooth for my own good, but I liked it.

"Ugh." She groans. "Fuck off, Anderson." And with that, she hangs up the phone.

Sighing, I reposition myself on my seat. I'd spent the night and morning thinking about her. It's only been month and I haven't gone a day without her on my mind.

A little while later, my office doors open, and a messy Nevaeh walks through with a paper coffee cup, rubbing her eyes.

No gun, that must be a good sign.

She stumbles over to my desk, clumsily putting down the cup but it tips over, spilling onto my documents and keyboard.

I pinch the bridge of my nose. "Careful." I manage to say as calmly as I can get my voice.

Even though she looked all over the place, the top buttons of her blouse undone, her braids in a messy bun and her blouse messily tucked into her pencil skirt, she still looked desirable.

I could still make out her curves peeking under her clothes. I wonder what she looks like with them off...

She's making it harder for me.

"Shit. Sorry." She says, snapping me out of my inappropriate thoughts but her voice is still croaky. It elicits something deep within me, until she takes a tissue and messily spreads the coffee all over my desk.

"Just go." I dismiss, waving her off. She leaves and I watch her enter her own office through the small window. I turn back to my own computer, and begin to print out all of my documents, then contact my Tech Backup team.
