I pace down the quiet hallway, fury still coursing through me. I take a deep breath in an attempt to calm myself down. The click of my heels echo in the corridor as I reach the empty kitchen.

"What an asshole," I hiss out loud, throwing the crumpled up paper cup in the bin and missing. Footsteps creep up behind me.

I abruptly turn around, bumping into a man during the process. "I am so sorry-"

"Don't worry about it," he says. He has dark brown hair that shone under the light, and piercing green eyes. His nose was straight, with a rough bump near the tip, instead of taking away from his attractive appearance, it just made him more satisfying to look at. His jawline was sharp enough to cut ice and his skin was slightly tanned.

"You're new, Nevaeh is it? I can tell Damien's already pissed you off."

I chuckle, "Yup- Many times actually," It wouldn't hurt making a friend at this job. "I'm making him a coffee right now." I walk over to the espresso machine as he trails after me. "I didn't quite catch your name."

"Oh, it's Alejandro, Al for short."

(You guys can imagine the bump and green eyes)

. . .

I get back to the office, in a much better mood than the last time I was here. I look to Damien types on his keyboard furiously, before his eyes snap to me. "What took you so long?" His stare is unwavering, and I shift uncomfortably under his gaze.

Just the sight of him soured my mood.

I roll my eyes, "I met Al on the way, he was pretty good company too." I walk over to his desk, and put the coffee cup down in front of him. "Heard you're good friends, and here I thought you had none."

"I don't know what's worse." He begins, his cool gaze returning back to his monitor and his tone even. "Getting cheated on or publicly humiliated at your workplace?"

His words make me go stiff, my smirk dissolves into a glare. "How dare you." I grit, my fists balling up. I turn around and twist the doorknob, before his voice pierces the air once more.

I turn my head.

"Leaving already?" He picks up the cup and tilts it. I watch as the contents spill onto the ground, and when I look back at him his gaze is fixed solely on me. "You still have a job to do for me."

"You can't be serious," I gulp as I watch the steaming brown liquid spread on the marble in horror. "I'm your assistant, not your personal maid."

"And I'm your boss. So get on your knees and clean." The cup drops from his hand. I scoff in disbelief.
