Phoenix stood in front of a wall that had pictures hanging up from a nail, the pictures were Avatar Kyoshi paintings. Phoenix admired Kyoshi, mainly from her bravery and her badass style of clothing. While she looked at the amazing paintings with neat brush marks, she heard a light tap on the hard floor, turning around in curiosity, there stood Suki without her makeup on.
"Jesus!" Phoenix placed her hand over her heart, feeling the rapid thumps "you scared me" She admitted once she calmed down "what are you doing here?" Suki asked the woman "Looking at art... what are you doing here?" Phoenix shot back "Seeing what you're doing." Suki walked in front of a painting of Kyoshi in front of a lake with her sharp fan in her hand, the lake waves were moving in her direction. "I remember painting this," Suki spoke up, eyeing the art "I drew it from memory" Phoenix turned her head "You drew this?" She questioned, not fully believing it. "Mhm" Suki hummed "whenever I had free time, I would sit here and draw" Phoenix smiled "well you did good at it" She complimented "Thanks..." Suki looked down at her feet with her cheeks pink.
"Have you seen Sokka?" Phoenix brought up the missing boy "I have, why?" Suki glanced at the ginger "I need to keep an eye on him, he might just eat Momo." Phoenix shook her head, remembering the threats Sokka previously said to the winged lemur. "You two are close?" Phoenix nodded her head, answering the question "how close?" Suki's head tilted "We're friends, get in a lot of fights and train together" Phoenix answered her "wait, why'd you ask?" She was curious about the question that Suki asked, it was a bit weird. "Nothing..." She looked away quickly "Oh!" Phoenix's eyes brightened up once she realized "you like him,don't you?"
"No" Suki denied it, but her face said otherwise. "No need to lie, he's quite a charm." Phoenix's attention was back on the painting that hung In front of her face "He's a good fighter" Suki spoke in a quiet tone "Not better than me, but I agree." The woman with black short hair faced the direction of Phoenix "What's he like?" Phoenix stopped staring at the painting "Loud mouthed, sarcastic and eats a lot of food." Suki laughed at her answer, a warm smile on her face "and he's the guardian of his village?" "Sure is"
A loud bell rang through the village, Suki had a worried expression "the bell!" She yelled "what about the bells?" Phoenix asked, she wasn't aware why the bells rang since it was her first time visiting Kyohsi island "we have to go!" Suki grabbed Phoenix's hand "Why?!" Phoenix followed, her hands tighten in Suki's "Danger!"
Phoenix had a feeling it was the fire nation going after Avatar, if so, she will be mad.
