A group of fire nation warriors marched through the village, wearing all black and dark reds. "Such a lovely island." An older man who had a bun in his hair spoke, it was Commander Zhao. Zhao is a dangerous man, you wouldn't want to mess with him. "And we welcome you to it, Commander. Though, we wish we'd had some advanced notice." Yukai calmly said. Phoenix eyes looked at the group of men, she didn't see Zuko which made her curious "where's Zuko?" She questioned, Zhao looked over at her with a smirk "that's none of your concern." He simply replied, his attention back on Yukai.
"I heard you had an unexpected visitor the other day." Phoenix balled her fist up, ready to fight if needed. "You must be mistaken. We like keeping to ourselves." Zhao let out a laugh "is she a Kyoshi Warrior?" His eyes directly looking at Phoenix, all attention on her "Yes" Yukai lied "She just joined, isn't that right?" Yukai turned around, Phoenix nodded her head, going along with the lie. "Funny, i've seen her around the fire nation before." Phoenix looked down at her black shoes, she felt people's eyes staring through her "Well, as you can see, she's with us now."
Zhao paused for a minute "You won't mind if we take a look, to see if there's anyone who doesn't belong here?" Yukai allowed them to search the island, they began to look through the small homes. As one guard walked through, Yukai grabbed the back of his clothes and threw him away, that started a fight.
"Take them, and find the avatar!" He ordered his crew, they ran towards the group of warriors. Phoenix held her hand out, she threw a big ball of fire to a guard who was running towards her, she luckily hit him, making him fall down. A tall man ran to Phoenix, he kicked her leg which made her fall to her knees "You will pay for betraying us!" The man behind the mask shouted, both of his hands full of fire "No- I don't think I will" She got up from the floor "you will pay for hurting us" Phoenix's eyes got bright in a yellow tone, her whole arm was on fire. She punched the guard's stomach, he groaned in pain while holding where he had been hit, Phoenix ran from behind and grabbed his clothing, pulling him back "I may not know who you are," She spoke, her hand around the mans neck "but I know that you think you're stronger than us- but you're not." With that, Phoenix let go of the man, kicking him to the floor and punching the side of his head, knocking him out completely.
Her eyes turned back to normal, she stared at her arms that had a tint of red from burning, she was surprised how powerful she felt in that moment; she never felt like that before. Sokka grabbed Phoenix's hand and brought her to a place to hide from the bad guys "they're bringing more men" Sokka informed while looking at Suki "we can't hold them off much longer." Suki shook her head, she was out of breath from fighting the horrible people "where is your friend?!" Yukai shouted, her gray hair messy "You said he could help us. Where is the avatar!"
A big rush of wind came by, throwing the guards on the floor and nearly blew Phoenix away. She peaked to see what caused the air, it was... Avatar Kyoshi "how is that possible?" Phoenix questioned in amazement, Kyoshi died a long time ago, there's no way shes alive. Avatar Kyoshi circled around, water flowing between her palms, the water trailed to three men who were now flying in the air. After making them dizzy, she threw them against the houses "pull back!"Zhao yelled, he's afraid of Kyoshi.
Kyoshi started to glow in a light blue, a few seconds later it was revealed that Aang was controlling Kyoshi, one of the many benefits of being that avatar. Phoenix ran over to Aang when he fell on the dirt after his glowing stopped, she was worried for him. "Aang!" Aang got up from the dirt with a confused expression "oh he's okay!" Phoenix sighed from relief. He got up "this is all my fault." Aang blamed himself "I brought them here.." "which is why you have to go." Suki spoke to the boy "we can't just leave you" Sokka told her "they want the avatar, not us. There's nothing here that we've lost that can't be replaced, and you've given us something far more valuable in return. A reason to believe again, in our village, in ourselves, and in the avatar." Yukai bowed when she finished talking, Phoenix smiled at herself, happy they weren't mad at Aang for the damage.
Phoenix watched the crowd forming around Aang, everyone talking to him. Suki grabbed Phoenix's hand and went away from the loud crowd "Sorry for the damage.." Phoenix apologized "no need to be sorry, it wasn't your fault." Phoenix smiled at Suki "Thank you for protecting our island. It means alot- even if you are a fire bender." She shook her head lightly "You're welcome." Phoenix looked behind Suki, Sokka staring at her with pink cheeks "You and Sokka?" Suki laughed "It's nothing.." She denied, but deep down Suki knew she liked Sokka, even if they spent little time together.

I cant WAIT to write jet and his little crew. The earth kingdom episodes were def my favorites out of the whole series :) Also, more Zuko soon ;)
