"How the fuck did two firefighters end up trapped in an elevator?" Cursed buck, clawing at the elevator doors. He knew that wouldn't do anything, but you never know. He had a date with a beautiful girl, set up by Chim. He didn't really want to go, but if he didn't he would just be stuck inside binge-watching married at first sight. He looked behind him, to see Eddie sitting down looking tense. "Hey, we're gonna get be out of here in an hour or two, tops" Buck told him.
"I'm not stupid Buck. Have you forgotten we're both firefighters?" Eddie scoffed "I'm worried about Christopher."
"Why are you worried? Isn't Carla going to be with Chris?" Buck pointed out. Eddie scanned Buck, before standing up. "Not tonight. Tonight, she has the night off. So Chris will have no-one to pick him up from school. And I can't call the school because of the signal in this fucking nightmare box!" Eddie shouted. He began violently kicking the elevator, his hands curling into fists. "Kicking the 'nightmare box' isn't going to do anything, Eddie." Buck noted.
"Shut up Evan!" Eddie fumed. He took a few deep breaths before continuing "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to shout. It's ju-"
"Don't call me Evan. Don't ever call me Evan" Buck warned Eddie.

Buck sat down on the tough, firm floor of the elevator. It was then that he realised his hands were trembling and his heart was racing. His hands were sweating and he began having chest pains. Was he having a heart attack?
"Eddie." Buck hyperventilated " I think I'm. Having a. Heart attack." Tears started to fall out of his eyes, of pure fear. Eddies eyes turned from distant to worried as he got on one knee and inspected Buck. Eddie looked Buck straight in his eyes, and Buck felt more relaxed. "What's happening to me?" Cried Buck.
"This happened to me, when I was with Chris and Ana. You're not having a heart attack Buck. You're having a panic attack. But I promise you, you're safe with me. I won't pry and ask why me calling you that name triggered you, but I'm here and I'm not going anywhere. Like you said, we're gonna be out of here soon" Eddie said in a calming tone. He squeezed Bucks hand tight, before sitting next to him. Buck felt Eddies hand slipping away from his, and whispered "Don't let go." Eddie didn't. He held onto Bucks hand tighter than ever. It stayed like that for the next hour, until Buck fell asleep.

Hour three

When Buck woke up, all he wanted was food. This last time he ate it was the captains lasagne and that was- 5 hours ago. It was now 6pm, and the signal was still shit. Buck stood up and stretched, before he began repetitively spamming the 'help' button. The dinging sound must've woken up Eddie, because when Buck turned around, Eddie was sitting there, gazing at Buck. "I didn't mean to wake you, sorry" laughed Buck.
"Pressing that button isn't going to do anything, I hope you know that" Eddie replied
"I know, I'm not an idiot"
"From some of the things you've done, I doubt it. I remember when you told me the story of you sleeping with your therapist? Or when you nearly killed yourself from going against caps orders?"
Buck smirked at Eddie. He always thought he was handsome- if he was a girl he would definitely go out with Eddie. Buck sat down and thought about him and Eddie. He imagined them spending christmases and birthdays together. He imagined spending time with Eddie all the time. Buck imagined putting his hands on Eddies waist, and pulling him in close. Cupping his cheeks and pecking his lips before devouring Eddie. Kisses on his neck, on his face, and wherever he's been wounded. His hands searching through Eddies hair-

Buck stopped and realised who he was thinking about. He had never had these feelings for a boy before- what did this mean?

Hour 5

"I'm actually about to die if I go without food any longer" Buck complained. Since his 'thoughts', he had attempted to draw a portrait of him and Eddie on his hand with a blue pen he found in his pocket, and after failing to impress Eddie with his artistic skills, he desperately attempted to eat the blue pen. The blue pen was then banned by Eddie. "Shut up Buck. Look, here's a disgusting granola bar I found in my pocket. It's probably been there since I've had this jacket. Here" Eddie grunted, tossing over the bar. Out of pure hunger, he ate it. "That was disgusting" Buck commented, staring at Eddie for his reaction. Eddie grinned back, and so Buck was content.

Hour 6

"Remember when you said it would only be an hour or two? I'm so bored" Buck criticised.
"Shut up, that was you. Just let me sleep for fucks sake." Eddie snapped back.
"Calm down! I'm just joking around Diaz" Buck teased. There was no reaction from Eddie, until he heard some soft snoring noises. He peered over to see Eddie with his eyes closed, sleeping peacefully. "You're kinda cute when you sleep" Buck echoed to himself. The last thing he expected was a reply, but Eddie sat up and stared straight into Bucks eyes. "What did you just call me, Buckley?"
"I have no idea what you heard, but I said that you look like a newt when you sleeping" Buck defended.
"Okay, okay. If you say so."
They sat in a silence for a few minutes, before Buck noticed that Eddie had a slight cowlick hanging in-between his eyes. Buck leant over to wipe it out of his eyes, and Eddie grabbed his wrist viciously. "Stop playing around Buckley." He warned Buck. "Dude I was just getting that bit of hair out of your eyes-"
"Stop it. You've been doing it all day, those little touches and looks."
"Eddie, I haven't been doing anything-"
"Stop lying to yourself! I thought you Atleast had the decency to admit it to yourself!" Oh god. Buck knew he had taken it to far. Embarrassment crawled in his head, suffocating him. He had no dignity left, so he decided to take a chance. He wasn't going to sit in this elevator for god knows how long ignoring his best friend. "So what if I am?" Buck told him, standing up to meet him, "You gonna do anything about it?"
"Is that a challenge, Buckley" Eddie countered.
" I suppose so. What are you gonna do?" Buck snorted out. Eddie sighed, "I'm gonna regret doing this" Buck was confused, before realising. Eddie took a step close before grabbing Buck by the neck and pulling him in close. A few seconds passed before Eddie kissed Buck desperately. It was like Eddie needed this, like he had to for survival. Before Buck knew it, Eddie was leaving soft, delicate kisses all across Bucks face. Buck smiled before pulling off. "I'm sorry I shouldn't have done that I don't know what-" Eddie began, but stopped mid-sentence. Buck had put his hands on Eddies waist and pulled him close. He cupped his face and left one small kiss on his lips. Then he devoured him. He ran his fingers through Eddies soft hair, and heaven surrounded him. "Wait stop- I think I hear something" Eddie pulled away to say, which left Buck clinging for more. But Eddie was right- there was people right outside the door. It was ten minutes before they were both released, and no longer trapped in the "nightmare box". They didn't bother asking what took so long, they were to exhausted to care. All they wanted to do was to get home. "I'll drop you off first, yeah dude" Buck asked, but as he inspected around him, Eddie was no where to be seen. He was secretly glad that he didn't have to discuss with Eddie what just happened, he could hold that off for another day.
