Sorry that there was no instant upload. I was a bit busy (a nicer way of saying lazy) so...yeah. And sorry that this chapter's realy short...
Anyways, random question: who likes chocolate? I love chocolate, and somehow, my friend doesn't like it. That is sacrilegious! (That was a joke, I swear I meant no offense! Please don't kill me!)
I think we've had enough of that, so I won't keep you guys for long. Oh, and what do you guys think of the cover? I think I want a new one, but I'm not sure...please tell me what you guys think! I feel so lonely...I've even started talking to phantom readers in my mind. (Not now, Billy, I'm writing...NO, YOU MAY NOT PEEK!) Please ignore the crazy author talking to herself and enjoy the story. Thank you.

The process of finding one's Elemental Affinity is surprisingly simple-with the one stipulation of required tools. Otherwise, any one person would be able to distinguish his/her Elemental Affinity.
-Opal Ingrid, Water, Fire, Earth, and Air: Which Are You?, Chapter 2: Elemental Affinity
Chapter 6: Identity
Lana hung at the back of the throng of first years, neither eager nor nervous to go in.
She already knew her Elemental Affinity.
Professor Tedra glanced back a couple times as she led her group through a corridor on the left side of the large foyer. Her eyes locked with Lana's golden ones each and every time. Tedra's eyes were a warm, earthy brown, hinting at her Elemental Affinity. They were as unreadable as Lana's as they gazed at each other.
Tedra was always the first one to turn away.
Finally, the professor reached the end of the hallway. The first years all jolted to a stop as a hush swept over them. A single wooden door was set into the dead end, carved with elaborate patterns-fire on the top right, air on the top left, earth on the bottom right, water on the lower left.
Just like on Lana's bedposts.
Professor Tedra turned to face the first years. A serious look graced her aged face, but her eyes held an unmasked glint as she opened her mouth to speak. "Each one of you will be called in, one at a time. The rest will stay out here, in this corridor, until called for. Once testing is finished-" At this, murmurs broke out throughout the crowd. "-you will be escorted out into the Main Hall through a door located on the opposite side of this one. Once your Elemental Affinity is found, you will sit with your Elemental Group-the group of Elementals who share your affinity. You will live, eat, learn, and train with this group. There will be much time throughout every day in which you will be able to socialize with Elementals outside of your group, but you will spend most of your time with your group. Do you understand?"
Sounds of assent echoed off the wall as most of the first years nodded in agreement. Lana nodded as well.
"First one in is...Kaleb Verona."
Some shuffling, then a boy stepped out of the crowd. He wore a smirk, but his eyes glistened with nervousness as he stepped up to Professor Tedra. She smiled warmly down at him before slowly creaking open the door and ushering him inside.
The moment he stepped in, the door slammed shut with a loud bang, allowing no peeking.
Lana sighed internally, shifting on her feet.
