Okay, from now on, NO MORE INSTANT UPLOADS! Yeah, maybe some of you don't care, and for those who do, I'm sorry! But please vote and comment and stuff, that'd be very nice! :)
SORRY FOR THE LATE UPDATE! Last week was the first week of school for me, and I was still running on summer schedule, so between killing my eyes and brain cells on Youtube and numbing my mind in physics and math, I was too tired to write, so I didn't...also, I had horrible writer's block.
But I hope you like the fight between Ailana and Reed. I know, I can't excuse my not uploading, but...I gave you a really cute pic? :)

They were like my family. All of them. But I hope they know that they've all lived their dreams. And that I'll continue to live for them.

Chapter 12: Emotional Overload
Reed zoned out during Ben's Dance, instead thinking back to Fiera's Dance. That was the first time he had seen the usually composed fourth year lose control.
For the first time in awhile, he could sense her potential. It was beautiful-a roiling mass of incredible power locked away deep inside of her that burst out with a terrifying rage at Quinton's words.
It was safe to say that Quinton was handed his ass. He was knocked clean off his feet from Fiera's Wind Helix, which signaled the end of the Dance. Well, the attack wasn't necessarily "deliberate," since it was founded solely on Fiera's emotions, but both she and Quinton had stated that her emotions were founded on a severe desire to "gouge his eyes out with a rusty spoon and eat them with a spam and mustard sandwich," as quoted by Fiera. That must've been hard for Quinton to admit.
Everyone at Primrose Academy had secrets. Whether small or big, there was no such thing as an "open book," as Kelly liked to believe. Cole obviously had some pretty big secrets, as well as Ailana. Then again, all Des Moines had big secrets.
Fiera was a mystery. She was poor; there was no doubt about that. No matter how hard she tried to hide her financial status from the rest of the school, Reed noticed the tiny bag she brought with her and the amount of jobs she would take around school to increase her already large stipend. He swore that that girl went on a shopping spree every weekend, even during exam week. She had an amazing urge to flaunt money, probably from her years of little to no funds.
Reed didn't understand why Fiera, stylish, charismatic, Queen Bee Fiera lived the slum life, but he wouldn't pry. She was aware that both he and Cole knew her situation, but she never talked about her living situation away from Primrose Academy.
"The Dance goes to Paxton!"
Reed blinked. He had missed the entire Dance. Paxton and Ben were both panting heavily but sported easy smiles. Obviously, there were no hard feelings between the two.
"I'm ashamed of you," Reed called out to Ben, shaking his head in mock disappointment. "Losing to an airhead so easily? So disappointing."
"Shut up," Paxton replied, rolling his eyes while Ben snorted. "It's your turn, water logged."
