I lay in my bed scrolling through instagram trying to pass by the time Paige is busy today so I have nothing to do. Then I get a DM from Stacey, I open her message.

"Hey AJ heard about Dillon being a jerk and I get that you and Paige haven't really had alone time to just hang out without anyone getting in the way. and I was wondering if you wanted to use my cabin next weekend for you and Paige to get away from everyone and just have a weekend to yourselves there's a hot tub and its near the beach it's a really romantic place. Text me if you want me to set you up.

Love you"

I can't help but scream with joy when I read the message.

I text her back immediately.

"Oh my god yes that would be amazing!!!! Next week also happens to be Paige and I's 5 month anniversary. It would be an amazing gift for her."

"Then it's settled, you can have the weekend there."

"Thank you so much"

I jumped up out of bed and ran down the stairs to put on my shoes, but then I realized that Paige was busy and my excitement ebbed slightly. Then I remembered I had someone else I could talk to about this in the meantime.

"Gabby, I need to talk to you!"

Gabby came to the top of the stairs and slowly started walking down clearly confused.

"Come on let's go for a run"

"What?"

"I need to TALK to you"

She looked confused for a second before mouthing out an "ooh" and quickly ran back up the stairs to change. We set off on our light run and I didn't know where to start, we hadn't exactly talked about my relationships before.

"So it's obviously about Paige or you wouldn't look well like that so come on spill"

"Stacey has let us use her cabin for the weekend for a romantic getaway!"

"Oh.. oh wow so do you think.."

"GABBY... no I mean maybe I don't know"

"Oh come on you can't act like you don't want to"

"Well of course I want to but.."

"But nothing just go for it, if Paige isn't into it that's fine but at least you tried and know you're not both at that point yet."

I knew Gabby was right and I mean it's not like we haven't done ANYTHING and we've said we love each other but it's a big step and I don't wanna push if Paige isn't ready to go all the way.

"You're right Gabs, we would still have the whole weekend together in an amazing place and if we don't go all the way that's okay."

"See you're worrying about nothing, now when are you going to tell Paige"

I stop running, right I have to tell Paige, how am I gonna tell Paige?

"I mean she's busy today and I should probably do it in person but I'll need to give her enough time to make sure it's okay to go and pack and stuff so, school tomorrow maybe?"

"I don't know what you're asking me, you need to be confident in your decision"

"You're right, I'll tell her tomorrow after school I'll walk her home, yeah I'll walk her home and then maybe tell her just before we part ways."

"Sounds like a plan, now we've kinda just randomly stood in the middle of the sidewalk for the past 5 minutes, wanna go home?"

"Yeah sounds good"

"Also we are so gonna talk about that outfit you wore to Paige's last time"

I sputtered and looked at her dumbfounded, I hadn't even put it in the hamper. I hid it in my room so no one found out I wore it.

"H..how?"

"Aj it's literally just flung over your chair, you better move that before mama finds it"

I paled and we started to speed up. We made it home and I got upstairs and quickly discarded the outfit in a safe hiding spot before turning around to Gabby stood in my doorway.

"We.. are not talking about it"

"Fine fine, but maybe find a way to get it cleaned and you can use it for your 'romantic getaway'"

"Oh my god, get out!"

I threw a pillow at her but she had already closed the door.

"Well that was embarrassing"

I pulled out and separated the outfit, hiding the singlet amongst the rest of the dark washing and the shorts in the lights, hopefully I could pull them out before my mother notices.
