SKATE LESSON

Its been a week since I left the hospital and in a couple of day it will be paige and is 9 month mark. I want to make it a special night for us i want it to be the night that i tell her that i lover her. She was by my side everyday while i was at the hospital i had to stop track because of my head injury they said that i couldnt play for the next 3 months so i have been getting more into art my dad has been throwing a fit and fighting with me almost everyday. Its getting to the point where shit is really bad im thinking of moviing out. Because i cant deal with this shit anymore paige and I have been talking about moving in together after Cal Arts. paige and I are supposed to go out today and she should be arriving in 10 minutes so i put on my crop top and white jean short shorts. Right as im done doing my hair paige texts me that she is outside. I run downstairs and head outside

"Hey babe" Paige says kissing me

"Hey"

"So where we going?"

"Oh well we are going to the skatepark for your first skate lesson"

"No"

"Yes"

"Come on do it for me"

I say smiling and kissing her

"Nope I don't skate"

"Okay then i guess you won't be kissing me or anything"

" OH I can't wait to skate"

"That's what i thought"

We walked to the skate park

"Oh my god"

Paige said with a scared look on her face

I went to the half pipe and I did a 360 hardflip. I dropped in and did a couple of tricks before I went to Paige.

"You know the doctor said that you can't skate"

"Well im a rule breaker"

I drop the board on the floor

"Come on i'll spot you"

"Like old times?" I smile

"Yep"

After a while Paige was able to stand on the board and was able to skate on her own. She picked it up really fast.

"Damn you learn things really fast"

"Yeah im good at a lot of things"

Paige looked me up and down. I was speechless.

"So do you think I'm ready to try the ramp now?"

"I don't know Paige this is your first time skating on your own and I don't want you to get hurt"

I looked at the half pipe and then back at Paige worriedly thinking of all the possible ways she could get hurt if she messed up.

"Hey come on I'm sure I'll be fine plus I'll have the expert leather jacket type to coach me through it."

I laughed and was honestly considering saying yes, when she looked down at me with that pleading look how could I not.

"Fine, we can try but please just listen to me and be careful."

"Scouts honor I will follow your instructions to the letter now come on"

Paige picked up the board and grabbed my hand and we ran up to the top. I lipped the board over the edge and helped Paige get her bearings.

"Okay so what you're gonna need to do is bend your knees and push down with force, don't lean too far either way or you'll fall, try to maintain balance and you should make it down."

"Okay so stay planted, try to stay upright, push into the board with as much force as I can so I don't fly off?"

"Yep you got it babe, ready to try?"

Paige looked down and then back at me with a look of trepidation in her eyes now we were actually up here.

"Maybe you could give me a little push? Just the first time so I know what it feels like and I can get over the nerves."

I smiled, this is the ball of nervous energy I love to draw out of Paige.

"Of course, do you want me to count down or just go?"

"Maybe a countdown, like one,two,three go?"

I knew how this was gonna work out luckily I had a tried and tested theory to avoid her chickening out.

"Okay, one,two"

I pushed her on two and she screamed as the board tipped over the edge, she looked fine to start but then she seemed to lose balance and slide off right at the end.

"Good first try babe! You almost made it the whole way."

"What the fuck Aj, you said you would go on three"

"And would you have gone through with it if I had?"

Paige opened her mouth to speak but nothing came and she proceeded to look away and huff.

"I didn't think so, now come on you know what it feels like now let's go again"

We stayed at the park for an hour then we started to walk back to Paige's house we got there and went to her room to hang out we watched movies and snuggled in bed together Paige's mom was out of town

We continued to watch marvel movies and I fell asleep snuggled up to Paige.
