I woke up the next morning in a cold sweat, breathing heavily. Hatori stirred from the other side of the tent.

"You ok?" He yawned.

"Yeah. had a nightmare from the gas. I will be fine, don't worry about it." I replied.

He gave me a hug before going back to sleep. struggling to go back to sleep I decided to get packed up and get my day started. I walked over to the edge of the canyon we were near to watch the sunrise. The sound of footsteps behind me broke my train of thought. I turned around to see Hatori.

"What's wrong?" He inquired, wrapping his arms around me.

I paused.

"We have been partners long enough that I can tell when something is bothering you." He continued.

"Thinking about things and not enough sleep." I responded.

"About what happened yesterday?"

"That, and you, other things."

"What did the gas do?"

I took a deep breath.

"It makes you live or see your worst nightmare, or your worst fear. Mine is losing the people I care about most, you, kid, and Dragedge. I was running around and seeing all three of you die essentially. I also saw Jet, my old friend that died the day I discovered my abilities."

He paused before responding.

"I'm sorry." He hugged tighter.

"It's ok. There was nothing you could do."

"I know. I'm also sorry for not coming back sooner or coming to visit more."

"It's fine, I know you couldn't, I missed you too."

He turned me around, lifting my head under my chin. He leaned in, letting our lips meet, I nearly melted. We smiled, hugged a little longer and we went to wake up the others. I noticed Dragedge walking over to my tent.

"I see you had your first official kiss." Dragedge teased.

"You saw?" I asked, turning red.

"Don't worry, I won't tell. Granted you two are cute together and meant to be together." He continued.

I watched Hatori chatting and smiling with Kid and the others.

"You are right. I didn't think I would miss him as much as I did, or love him as much as I do." I responded, tearing up a little.

I paused.

"Sorry." I continued

He put his arm around my shoulders.

"You are allowed to miss him. You two are very clearly in love. Stop apologizing." He said, gently shaking me.

I couldn't help but laugh. We caught up with the rest of the group. A few hours later we reached the airship carrier. Dragedge started to turn around before he could go anywhere Victor and Hatori grabbed him.

"I don't want to." He protested.

"We know but there's not another choice. And I will knock you out again if you don't stop." Victor cautioned.

I got the tickets for everyone, and watched the show of the two practically dragging Dragedge on the ship. The others were laughing. Dragedge was knocked out after some struggle. The ship took off.

"How did you ever deal with that when it was the two of you?" Victor asked, trying to catch his breath.

"Honestly I have no idea I would normally give him a look and he walks on." I responded.

Victor threw Dragedge over his shoulder and took him below deck to the room so he could "sleep" for a bit. We waited for him to return before getting some food. A few hours later we went to get some food.

"How long have you and Grim been partners?" Tsubaki asked.

"Since we were 16." He responded.

"How did you two meet or become partners?" Maka chimed in.

"I moved to the states from the western asian branch with my family shortly after the atlantis incident. I had a few partners before but none worked out or another weapon stole them. I was told of a meister who needed a weapon partner. We met her father first. Actually, I met Dragedge first since she wasn't at school the first day I was there. He told me how her madness was crazy and out of control. My family specializes in calming aura. Once we met we clicked almost immediately. No one was stealing her away." He continued.

"That's cute." Maka said.

" The diner I took you guys to is our favorite spot." I added.

We chatted for a bit before Dragedge finally woke up.

"Hello sleeping beauty." I said sarcastically.

He gave me a death glare.

"I don't know how I ever got you on an airship by myself." I continued.

"I didn't want to leave you alone. I know you can handle yourself but still." He responded.

He grabbed some food and ate. We walked to the top deck to watch the sunset.

"I have never been on an airship before." Black Star exclaimed.

"They're horrible." Dragedge grunted leaning over the side.

"You're about to hurl aren't you?" I asked.

He nodded, everything he ate went over the side.

"Thankfully we are over water." Kid joked.

"Actually look down. There is an island." I added leaning over the edge.

Everyone looked over and started laughing. Dragedge started cursing, leaning on the wall sinking to the deck. He sat for the rest of the night while we enjoyed the sunset before bed.
