Barely two days after Leah's arrival at Malfoy Manor, Leah was summoned by her father. She walked into the dinning hall. The only source of light came from the poorly lit fireplace. Voldemort sat in his usual spot at the head of the table and Bellatrix was once more standing in front of the fire. There were many other people in the room, including Barty, Narcissa, Draco, Rodolphus, Daniel and Rebecca with Savannah, Daphne, who was now of age, Amber, and a tall man Leah recognized as Fenrir Greyback.
"Leah," said Voldemort quietly and pointed to the seat to his right. She sat obediently.
"The time has come to add four new members to our group," he said as his eyes swept over Draco, Daphne, Amber and Savannah. "If you will stand."
The four of them stood up. Leah watched as one by one Voldemort branded them with the Dark Mark. Leah tried to block out their grunts of pain. She didn't like seeing them in pain.
Finally it was over and everyone took their seats.
"Now, I have a very important task that I required to be done." His voice was barely above a whisper but everyone caught on to every word.
"I required the Wanamaker, Ollivander." He gazed around the room. Most people dropped their eyes as his gaze turned to them, but Leah met his eyes head on.
"This is your first mission as my Death Eater," he said to her. "Fail and you feel the extent of my wrath."
Leah cringed inwardly at his words, but showed now emotion in her face. "I understand father."
"Yaxley, Crouch, and Greyback will accompany you. They are yours to command. Is there anyone else you wish to bring?"
Leah's first thought was of Amber and Daphne, but Amber was still underage and Daphne wasn't a very violent person. She was more of an intellectual. Her face turned to Draco. He was staring at the table. His pale face shone with anxiety and Leah felt pity for him. She already knew of her father's plan that involved him. She then looked at Savannah, who met her eyes, and excited look in her face. "I would like to bring Savannah, my Lord, if it is alright."
"Daniel," Voldemort's gaze turned to the politician. "Will you allow your daughter to accompany you?"
"It would be an honor, my Lord." Daniel would not meet his gaze. Leah could tell that he did not want Savannah to come but he knew better than to defy the wishes of herself of the Dark Lord.
"Very well," he said. Leah could hear the small amount of anger in his voice. "Leah, you have your team and your mission. I expect you gone by first light tomorrow. If I find that anyone has disobeyed my daughter, they will be punished severely. Treat her as you would treat me. The rest of you may go."
Everyone stood up to leave. Leah had just reached the door when she heard her father call, "Draco, remain behind. I have something I require of you."
Leah's stomach dropped. She tried to catch her cousin's eyes, but he merely stared at the ground as he approached Voldemort. Leah closed the door, leaving them alone in the room. She felt like she had just sealed Draco's fate herself.
Suddenly Leah felt someone jerk her arm. It was Savannah.
"What are you-" Leah started but Savannah hushed her. They retreated to the garden, which was almost always empty.
"Have you heard anything from Damian lately?" Savannah demanded.
"No, why?"
"I'm getting worried." Savannah bit her lip. Leah knew about those feelings for each other. "His mother keeps trying to come here, but his father is against it, and from what I've heard, Damian is against it too.."
