Leah's hatred boiled inside her all summer. The only person that could get her to talk was Amber. They would often sit outside and just talk. Leah would vent her feelings and Amber would insult whoever caused those emotions, mainly Potter. It did make her feel a little better.
Leah's summer was only interrupted by the talk about Sirius Black escaping Azkaban. One morning, Leah was looking at his picture on the front of the Daily Prophet.
"What did he do to get arrested?" She looked up at Aunt Narcissa.
"He murdered thirteen people with a single curse."
"Why?"
Aunt Narcissa shrugged. "They say he was mad and a big supporter of the Dark Lord."
"And was he?" Leah asked.
"Now why would I know that?" Aunt Narcissa gave Leah a meaningful look.
"Sorry.. I just thought.. Never mind." She shook her head and looked back at his picture. "If this mutt can manage to escape Azkaban, then why can't mother?"
"I'm sure the idea has crossed my sister's mind," Aunt Narcissa said thoughtfully. She waved her wand and the breakfast dishes rose off the table and landed neatly in the sink. "But no one knows how Black did it. If it was indeed a matter of using Dark Magic, then Bella would be home by now."
"Do you think she would be proud of me?" Leah blurted, then blushed.
"Who? Bella?" Aunt Narcissa's face softened. "I'm sure she's as proud of you as I am." She gently tucked a stray strand of hair behind Leah's ear. "Now go make sure all your stuff is packed for tomorrow."
Leah didn't have much time to ponder things like Sirius Black or her mother. She was about to enter her fifth and most important year at Hogwarts. Each of her classes on the first day back started off by stressing how important their O.W.L.s were.
The whole school was surrounded by dementors, which made everything feel desolate and gloomy, or maybe that was just Leah. She studied hard everyday, barely keeping up with her school work on top of Quidditch practice. Nothing could break Leah's focus.
Except Sirius Black.
When Black broke into the school, Leah had hoped to run into him. If he was truly a loyal follower to her father, then she had a job for him.
But of course the castle was heavily guarded so when he had broken in, everyone was forced into the Great Hall. Leah grabbed a sleeping bag and dragged it off to the corner where Amber and Lulu lay whispering. She was soon joined by Damian and Savannah.
"So what do you think?" Savannah whispered to Leah, leaning up on her elbow to talk.
"I think this Black man is a fool," Leah grumbled. "I just wish I could find him." She smacked her fist on the ground. "If he truly is a servant of the Dark Lord, then I want to know." Now Amber and Lulu were watching her too. No one said anything though.
The Great Hall was so fill with whispers it sounded like there was a gas leak. Leah stayed awake for a long time, staring at the enchanted ceiling. If she didn't find help soon, she would have to look for her father herself. It would be difficult since she was still underage, but she would manage if she had to.

"Leah!" Damian ran up behind her. "Leah I have got to tell you something!" He skidded to a stop in front of her, panting.
"What?"she snapped. "Spit it out."
"I overheard Potter and his friends in the library. Did you know that Black is his godfather?"
