that at this rate nothing would surprise her anymore. Her and Percy killed a Minotaur a couple days ago, their best friend was half goat, gods exist and Dionysus wears Hawaiian shirts and likes to gamble, and their old Latin teacher was part horse.

Percy lightly touched Cam's hand with his finger, and when she looked at him he nodded his head towards the campers by the volleyball pits. Most of them were staring at the Minotaur horn in his hand while others muttered, 'That's them.'

Most of the campers were older, and their satyr friends were larger than Grover. They all had orange Camp-Half Blood T-shirts on. Percy felt pretty uncomfortable with all their stares, but Cam just stared back at them.

Percy looked back to the farmhouse and noticed how tall it actually was. Sky blue with a white trim, and he was looking at the brass eagle weather vane of an eagle when he noticed a shadow in the highest window. He nudged Cam again and pointed up.

"What's up there?" Percy asked Chiron. The centaur looked at where he was pointing and his smile dropped.

"Just the attic."

"Somebody lives there?"

"No," He answered with finality. "Not a single living thing. Come along, you two. Lots to see."

Cam and Percy exchanged a look before following behind, but Percy couldn't help another look at the window. Because he knew he saw that curtain move.

They walked through the strawberry fields, and Cam was pretty tempted to eat half of them. But all the other campers kind of scared her out of it. Chiron had told them that they grow them to export them to restaurants and Mount Olympus.

"It pays the expenses," He explained. "And the strawberries take almost no effort."

He also explained how Mr. D had this effect where plants grew like crazy whenever he was around. It worked best with wine grapes, but he was restricted to growing those and grew strawberries instead.

Percy watched the satyr on the reed pipe, the tune carrying the bugs out of the strawberry field. Cam kept looking at the strawberries with a longing expression, and Percy wondered if Grover could do something like that.

"Grover won't get in too much trouble, will he?" Percy asked. "I mean... he was a good protector. Really."

Chiron sighed before taking off his tweed jacket and draped it over his horse's back like a saddle. "Grover has big dreams, Percy. Perhaps bigger than reasonable. To reach his goal, he must first demonstrate great courage by succeeding as a keeper, finding a new camper and bringing him safely to Half-Blood Hill."
