generous enough to give Cam a bag to pack with. Except nothing was in it. She also wore the same T-Shirt she wore the first night they arrived, but with Annabeth's shorts.

That was it. The clothes she was already wearing. But she decided to bring the bag in case she found something alone. Because she didn't know how quests work. They didn't exactly have book bags when Hercules was busy questing.

Cam sprinted down the trail and went into Percy's cabin, who was in a similar dilemma. He had something on his head, a hundred bucks from the store and twenty gold coins.

"These are as big as Girl Scout cookies," Cam said, holding one in her hand.

"They're called drachmas."

"Oh! Oh! Oh! I know these. The twins said you use them for Iris-Messaging. You know? Goddess of Rainbows," Cam made a rainbow motion with her hands while smiling.

"No I did not. But thanks. Messaging sounds promising since we aren't allowed phones for some reason. Let's go."

Percy and Cam walked together up to the pine tree, or Thalia, or daughter of Zeus? Cam wasn't exactly sure how to refer to her. Annabeth and Grover were already up there with Chiron and another man. Apparently he was the camp's head of security. And he had eyes all over his body.

"This is Argus," Chiron told the two as they arrived. "He will drive you into the city, and, we, well, keep an eye on things."

There were footsteps coming up the hill behind them, Luke was running up while carrying a pair of basketball shoes and a piece of a scroll.

"Hey!" he panted. "Glad I caught you guys."

Annabeth blushed the she always did when Luke was around.

"Just wanted to say good luck," he told them. "And I thought... um, maybe you could use these."

He handed Percy the sneakers, and they looked pretty normal. Percy thought they even smelled normal.

Luke said, "Maia!"

White bird's wings sprouted out of the heels. It startled Percy so much he dropped them. The wings shoes flapped around on the ground until the wings folded up and disappeared.

"Awesome!" Grover said.

"And this is for you Cam," Luke handed her the piece of paper. "It's a spell. A gift from Hermes to Hecate as a peace offering once. Found it in a book and wrote it down for you. Speed spell. I think it lasts about twenty seconds."
