𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐔𝐍 was setting at this point, daylight slipping behind the mountains as the four walked to the main gate. Cam could tell the deign was supposed to read: 𝐖𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐃, but some of the letters were missing so instead it read: 𝐖𝐀𝐓 𝐑 𝐀 𝐃.
The gate was padlocked, with barbed wire on the top, and there were all sorts of rides, like dry water slides, empty pools, the list goes on.
"If Ares brings his girlfriend here for a date," Percy began, staring up at the barbed wire, "I'd hate to see what she looks like."
"Percy!" Cam scolded. "Dude, why would you say that? We'll probably be cursed forever now."
"She's right. Be more respectful," Annabeth added with a glare.
"Why? I thought you hated Ares?"
"He's still a god. And his girlfriend is very temperamental."
"Who is she? Echidna?" Percy asked, but Cam rolled her eyes as Grover replied.
"No, Aphrodite," he said, though a little dreamily. "Goddess of Love."
"I thought she was married to somebody," Percy said as he thought to himself. "Hephaestus, right?"
"What's your point?" Grover asked.
"Oh." Percy suddenly felt the need to change the subject. He looked past Cam at the entrance with an observant look. "So how do we get in?"
"Maia!" Grover's shoes sprouted wings and he flew over the fence, unintentionally doing a somersault and stumbled on the ground. He dusted off his jeans, a smirk on his face as if the whole thing was a routine. "You guys coming?"
"Cam?"
"Yeah?"
"How high can you jump?"
"Not that high. But if I got a boost..." Cam trailed off as she imagined the scenario in her head. It seemed like she would be able to make it. Annabeth moved towards the fence and bent down to one knee, sticking out her hands. When Percy didn't move she cleared her throat with a stern look.
"Oh, right," he muttered as he mimicked her position. Cam looked at the top of the fence more time. She ran forward, and when she put her foot onto their hands she felt them throw her up and she did a flip over the barbed wire and she landed perfectly on the ground before posing like a gymnast.
