They looked at Klaus, his expression softened witch surprised the siblings as he was only this way with Rebekah. "Kol is like me, he's incomplete." He could feel the confusion in the room. "He was a warlock and loved his magic but when Mother turned us she stole that from him, like a piece of him went missing. I went to witches from any coven that weren't under Kol's guidance and asked them if there was a way to get his magic back." Klaus paused for a moment as he rubbed his chin. "There wasn't." The siblings looked at each other, not sure what to make of this revelation. "That's why I would let him do whatever he wanted." Klaus trailed off, looking down at his hands.
The siblings exchanged glances once more, understanding beginning to dawn on them. "We always thought that he was just a wild card." Elijah said softly. "He's just trying to find a way to be whole again." They all fell silent, considering this new perspective.
"I never realized how much he was struggling." Rebekah whispered, her voice filled with sadness. "He's always been so angry and bitter." They all nodded in agreement, remembering the times when Kol had lashed out at them for no reason. They began to understand Kol's pain on a deeper level. They couldn't help but feel guilty for not seeing it before, for not trying to help him in some way.
"What can we do now?" Finn asked softly, his voice barely above a whisper. "Is there anything we can do to make things better for him?"
"A powerful witch told me that the longer he waited to accept his fate, the more unstable his mind would become." Klaus replied.
The siblings exchanged glances, understanding dawning on them. "So, we should just... be there for him." Elijah said, his voice barely audible. "Let him know that we love him and support him, no matter what."
"You asked for my magic back?" Kol's voice was hoarse, and he blinked rapidly, trying to adjust to the light after centuries in darkness.
"I did."
The room was silent as everyone processed this information. Rebekah finally broke the silence. "Kol, why didn't you ever tell us this?" She asked, her voice laced with pain. "We could have helped you."
Kol looked up at her, a mixture of anger and sadness in his eyes. "Because I knew you wouldn't understand. You were all so happy being vampires, enjoying your lives. I was just a burden to you, the black sheep." He swallowed hard, feeling the weight of his words. "I tried to get my magic back, maybe then I could find some peace, some purpose again." He paused. "But it will never happened."
There was a long silence as the siblings took in his words. They could see the pain he was in, the loneliness that had consumed him over the centuries. They wished they had known sooner, that they could have been there for him.
The others looked at him in disbelief. "Kol, that's not true. We love you, we always have." Elijah said softly.
Kol's gaze flickered to his brother before looking away. "How was I to know that? It was always Elijah, Klaus, and Rebekah, always and forever. Finn was always at Mother's side." He ran a shaking hand through his hair. "I'm tired of feeling like this like I don't belong anywhere."
The Mikaelson siblings exchanged glances, understanding dawning on them. They had taken their family's unity for granted, never realizing how much Kol had struggled to find his place within it. "Kol, you've always been a part of us, just as much as the rest of us." Finn said softly. "We love you, and we want you to know that we're here for you."
The room was silent for a moment as everyone absorbed Kol's words. Klaus moved to stand beside his brother, his voice gentle when he spoke. "I'm sorry we made you feel like that Kol but you're family, you always have been. And we love you, no matter what." He placed a hand on Kol's shoulder, offering what comfort he could.
Rebekah moved to stand on the other side of Kol, her voice just as soft as Klaus'. "Kol, you're wrong. We never thought of you as a burden. We just...we didn't understand. I didn't undertsand." She looked at him, her eyes filled with unshed tears. "If we had known, we would have tried to help you any way we could."
Kol studied his siblings' faces, seeing the sincerity in their expressions. He could feel the weight of their love pressing down on him, even as he tried to push it away. "I know," he whispered. "I'm sorry."
The room seemed to relax a little as the tension began to ease. "So, what do we do now?" Elijah finally asked. "How do we help Kol?"
"That's where I come in." Everyone turned to the teenage girl who stayed in the background. "But first, shall we take this meeting upstairs."
Rebekah, Kol, and Finn stared confused at the girl but followed as the others went upstairs especially when their brother willingly did. They all followed her upstairs to a small, along the way Klaus and Elijah decided that their siblings would feel better if they had taken a bath and changed into some new clothes.
"Bi-Bi." Jeremy called out to his sister. "You have been really quiet in all of this."
"Sorry, my mind has been going a mile a minute." Bianca said and she was right, this hadn't happen in the series, so it had thrown her in for a loop. She had to take in all the information that she had heard previously. She looked at Enzo and Tyler but before she could speak, Enzo did.
"You saw the light with us didn't you?" He asked and she nodded.
"You and Rebekah and Tyler and Finn."
"And what about Kol?" The quartet turned their attention to the new additions. Finn, Elijah, Klaus, Kol and Rebekah stood together staring at the quartet.
"What's going on?" Finn asked.
"I'm a witch." Bianca spoke.
"A Bennett witch to be exact." Their eyes turned to the wispy form of Ayanna Bennett. "Bianca is the youngest and most powerful in our line." The elder witch smiled. "And we couldn't have been any prouder."
"Ayanna." The Mikaelson siblings called and the witch looked at them.
"Hello children, it's good to see you all."
