"So." He finally managed to say, his voice cracking from years of not talking. "Your brother finally let you all out to play." The five siblings stared blankly at their father. "What? You can't respond to your father, have I taught you no manner?" He scoffed. The room was silent, each of us taking in his words, trying to understand them. It was Rebekah who spoke first.

"Manners. You taught us a lot but manners was never one of the topics." The others nodded in agreement, each of them standing their ground. "We're here because we are going to put an end to your terror over us." The father's face twisted in anger.

"What do you mean by that?" He demanded, his voice cracking with fury. "What do you plan to do?"

"We've had enough." Kol said, his voice steady and strong. "We've suffered for years under your hand, and we won't stand for it anymore. We're going to rid you from our lives permanently. We will live our lives, be happy, and be free."

The father's face contorted in rage. "You dare threaten me?" He spat. "You can't possibly hope to defeat me!"

"You're in no position to stop us if we tried." Elijah motioned to their Father's chained body. "We're simply trying to move on with our lives, Father. You've had your fun, now it's our turn."

"You think you're so strong now, don't you? You think you can survive out there, on your own." His words cut through us like a knife, but we didn't flinch. "You don't know what's waiting for you out there." He warned, his voice growing stronger. "There are monsters in this world, children. Monsters just like me."

"That's where you are wrong." Finn spoke. His voice was soft, but it carried the weight of centuries. " We have survived you, and we will survive anything else the world throws at us. We are not alone, we have each other."

"We are strong together. We are the Mikaelsons and we will be the Mikaelsons after you are gone." I said. My voice was steady, confident. "We will never forget what you have done to us, but we won't let you continue to haunt us. We have mates that love and support us and we will not let you ruin that. You will not win this time, Father."

The father's eyes flashed with anger and something else. "Who would love you? You are nothing but a disgrace. A bastard." He spat the word as if it were poison. "You think you can find love? You think anyone could love a monster like you?"

"He already did." We turned to see our mates at the entrance of the mausoleum. "They all did." They walked slowly, their gazes locked on us, their expressions a mixture of love, determination, and protectiveness.

"We see the good in them, the love we have for each other, and the family that we've created together." Jeremy said as he stood by Elijah's side.

"They have us to care for them, and we will not let anyone hurt them." Enzo added and went to Rebekah's side, his expression unyielding.

"They are our family, and we will protect them with all we have as we know they would do the same." Tyler pulled Finn into his hold as he glared at our Father.

"No one will hurt them, and no one will threaten them." Bianca said as she stood between Kol and me. "We are their mates, their family, and we will not allow anyone to hurt them. We love them, and we will protect them." Her voice was strong, unyielding.

The father's face twisted in anger, his lips curling into a snarl. "You think you can defy me?" he growled. "You think you can just walk away from me?" But there was a hint of uncertainty in his voice, a flicker of fear that we had never seen before. It was as if he knew that we were no longer his puppets, no longer under his control. "I will always be in your head, you can't escape me!"

"Then maybe it's time to replace you with something they would take pleasure in remembering." Jeremy then pulled on Elijah's tie, bringing my brother's lips to his own. Tyler tilted Finn's head before kissing his lips and Enzo did the same to Rebekah. Kol and I looked down to Bianca and my eyes widened and bent down when I saw two of her. One turned to me while the other turned to Kol.

"Duplicate spell." Was all they said before they both kissed us, their lips soft and warm against my own. Kol and I looked at each other, our hearts racing as we returned their kisses, feeling the love and affection that they were giving us. It was a strange sensation, but it was also the most wonderful thing I had ever felt. We pulled apart and watched as Bianca merged into one.

"As our new lives begin, your tyranny over us ends." Kol stated and Bianca pulled a stake from Mikael's jacket pocket.

"The last of the white oak, the stake you planned to use to kill your children, is the same one going to end you." She slid it into my hand. "How poetic, don't you agree?" Enzo, Tyler, Jeremy, and Bianca took a step back, and I held the stake above Mikael's heart.

"Goodbye, from the bastard son you never loved." I said.

"Goodbye from the twin you failed to see." Finn placed his hand over mine.

"Goodbye from the son that was never strong enough." Elijah's hand went over Finn's.

"Goodbye from the son you never bothered to know." Kol said as he placed his hand over Elijah's.

"Goodbye from the daughter you ignored." Rebekah placed her hand on the top of the stake. With a single swift motion, we all pushed the stake into his chest. Mikael's eyes went wide with shock and pain as his body shuddered violently from its restraints before he went limp. His breath was wheezing and rattling in his chest. His once-proud frame was now nothing but a broken, lifeless shell.

We stood in silence for a moment, each of us taking in the finality of the act we had just committed. It wasn't the first time any of us had taken a life, but it was the first time we had done it together, as a family. And it was the first time we had done it to someone who was supposed to love us unconditionally. We felt a sense of relief, as a great burden had been lifted from our shoulders.
