"You gotta be kidding me." Otis found himself saying. With no other choice He sighed and slowly walked over to Luke's car.
He didn't even look at Luke until he got to the passenger side and got in, he just kept his stare forward.
"How have you been? It's been so long." Luke asked. Otis just shrugged not really finding the words to respond.
Luke just smiled anyway. "When Zack told me you were back I was really happy, I missed you." He said next, sounding like he actually meant it.
That actually got Otis to look at him, and when he did Luke's smile brightened even more. That made Otis feel bad about being rude.
"I missed you too" Otis confessed, to be honest he did miss him, he missed their long late night conversations, getting drunk together, literally doing anything together.
The only reason Otis didn't want to see him was because he knew Luke would be the reason he would fall into old habits.
"Shall we get going then?" Luke grinned, Otis just nodded. The fell into a comfortable silence, well it was comfortable until Luke put his hand in Otis's thigh.
'Already back to the old habits I see' Otis thought. There was one thing he didn't really miss about Luke, his touchiness. It's like he would find any excuse possible to touch Otis.
Like when Luke would get him cigarettes or some alcohol or just anything at all, he would always say he'd give them to Otis for free, but when it came to actually giving it to him he'd always make Otis give him a hug or hold his hand.
He would always find excuses to hold his waist or put his arm around his shoulder.
Otis never really put much thought into it, being way to high to even care most of the time, but now that he actually thinks about it, it's a little weird.
He's first met Luke when he was 13 and Luke was 16 almost 17, he was first introduced to him by Zack, he met Tyler the same night as well.
They met at a party, and hit it off, and from that day forward he was apart of the group. He didn't really share his age with the group until a couple weeks of hanging out, it wasn't really anyone's fault it was just never brought up.
Nobody really cared that he was younger than them, he was treated just the same. The age gap wasn't big so it didn't really matter.
Otis chose not to think about that anymore, he was just going to focus on what was happening now.
The ride wasn't very long only around 10 minutes, so soon enough they finally made it and so they made their way in.
And just like he expected it was loud, people were hanging around everywhere, dancing, playing party games, getting drunk, the usual.
Luke grabbed his hand and led him to the kitchen, once they got there he grabbed a couple glasses of who knows what and handed him one.
"Take some shots with me?" Luke asked, and Otis was in no place to deny.
Soon one shot turn into two, and then two turned into four, and then Otis lost count. At this point he was just dancing around with his friends and random strangers enjoying his time.
After a couple shots with Luke, his other friends meet up with him, he got to say hi to Tyler and all that. He also explained why he was gone, obviously leaving some parts out and sticking to his lie.
They didn't really seem to mind much and just said that they were glad he was back, and to be honest he was too, he needed this.
He was being led all around the party by different people and groups, switching between games.
They started with truth or dare and they played that for a couple of rounds until everyone got bored. They started a different game but Otis didn't care.He didn't really feel in the mood for anymore games so he just walked off looking for something else to do.
He was pretty drunk at this point, he was stumbling around and not even caring about his surroundings.
After a while of walking around aimlessly, he stumbled into a room, it was wide open and had a some pool tables in it. This room was much less crowded, there were only a few people in here.
One of the faces were all to familiar, Otis found a smile forming on his face as he made his way over to Luke.
He was standing in the corner smoking a cigarette, he seem to be talking and joking with a couple other people.
At this point he couldn't even remember why he didn't want to be around him in the first place, he was obviously being much too sensitive and overthinking everything.
Once Luke's eyes landed on the stumbling figure making his way over to him, a smirk crossed his face.
"Hay baby, you ok?" He questioned putting his hands around Otis's waist helping him stand straight. Otis just smiled at him. "I'm fine. I just haven't drank in a while, so the alcohol's hitting me a little harder than normal." He admitted
Luke just laughed and gave over the cigarette that he was previously smoking to Otis, setting it between his lips.
" Sense your already here, do you want have some fun?" He asked next. " Depends, what'd you have in mind?" Otis asked after he took a long puff.
Luke took the cigarette back taking one last puff before putting it out, he then dragged Otis over to one of the pool tables.
"Wanna play?" Luke suggested. "I don't know how, I've never played before." Otis responded playfully. "You'll have to teach me." He smiled
"I think I can do that." Luke smirked.
And so that's what the did, Luke was 'teaching' Otis how to play pool. They basically just were messing around the whole time.
Luke kept grabbing Otis's arms and waist, showing what to do and all that, it wasn't that big of a deal, so Otis just tried to ignore it and for the most part he did, that was until Luke's hand started wandering lower.
He tried to move out of his embrace but Luke wouldn't let him. "Can you let go?" He asked nicely. "By why? We were just getting to the good part." Luke replied playfully.
Otis just figured Luke was still just messing around, they had been doing that the whole time, he probably didn't realize he was making him uncomfortable.
"I'm being serious" Otis mumbled out, trying again, this time being let go.
Luke just laughed. "You're so boring." Otis just laughed with him out of awkwardness.
"Doesn't matter anyway, I just remember something." Luke said smile making its way across his face.
