"Belle said she checked the back..." Emma said to her father as soon as she got off the phone with Belle as David followed the two villains. "She's pretty sure there's a wooden box missing." She continued, looking at her father.

"What was inside it?" David asked.

"She doesn't know."

"Well, let's find out," David said before turning on the siren to the sheriff's car.

Cruella pulled over after seeing the siren lights, while David pulled over behind them. He got out of the sheriff's car and knocked on the driver's window. Cruella hit the window button to let it roll down as she smirked, leaning her elbow out the window.

"Is there a problem, Sheriff Chiseled Chin?" She smirked as David faked amusement before going to a tight-lipped smile.

"Step out of the vehicle, please." He commanded.

Cruella and Ursula got out of the vehicle, standing off to the side with Emma, while David looked through the car. Nothing in the trunk but Cruella's fur coats. Nothing in the cheesy velvet-covered console, but fast food tickets. He checked the glovebox, before finding a hidden compartment behind the passenger's seat. He hit it, finding something that they must have stole from Gold's shop. It was a small box with the symbol of Maleficient's horn on the top. He opened the box to find a silver handled rattle with a purplish-blue sphere on top.

"Anything?" Emma asked as David took the rattle in his hand, before shutting the box and the compartment.

"Car's clean." David lied, standing up.

"Weird... You think Belle just misplaced that box?" Emma asked, walking to meet her father halfway.

"Who knows? But we can't arrest them for speculation." David said, looking at the two villains.

"Looks like you guys are off the hook. Sorry." Emma said to the two of them.

Cruella kept her devious smirk, since she was used to hiding things and getting investigated. How do you think her last husband went to jail? Tax fraud. But Ursula tried to hide her surprised look.

"It would be nice if at least one of the Charmings lived up to their family name." Ursula spat, walking past the father and daughter, trying to keep a devious look like Cruella.

"Maybe we should go back to the sheriff's station, check out any security footage of Gold's... make sure they didn't take anything." Emma suggested to her dad as the two villains got back into Cruella's car.

"Why don't you go ahead? I wanna check on your mother." He sighed, not seeming as intense as he was on the way following Cruella and Ursula. "Mind dropping me at the loft on the way back?" He asked him.

"Dad..." She went to say as Cruella started to drive away. "Are you sure everything's okay?" She asked him, feeling like he was lying.

"Emma... of course. Let's go." He smiled with a chuckle.

Emma nodded, smiling at her dad, before walking over to the driver's side. David sighed, once his daughter walked away, when he opened his hand, looking down at the rattle he took. Fearing what those two were playing on doing with it.
