"Sorry we couldn't stay to clean," Maleficent smirked, making Regina turn to look at her as she was cleaning up her vault from last night.
"Oh, that's okay." Regina sighed, moving to put the bottles up. "You need the beauty sleep more than I do... That's why people don't believe I'm a grandmother." Regina smirked, chuckling a bit.
Maleficent smirked, taking off her coat as she folded it to hold before picking up the picture of the twins when they were born. "They're adorable, Regina..." She smirked, setting the picture back down. "What kind of magic did you use to make them not look like the pirate?" She asked as Regina looked up from picking up books and chuckled.
"Lucked out, I guess..." Regina chuckled a bit.
"It's good to see you again, Regina. Hope you had fun last night."
"Last night? Yes... This morning? No. But going to see my newest grandbaby made it better." She smiled, moving to sit on one of the trunks.
"Hmm... Maybe I can help with this world's version of magic." Maleficent smirked, taking two aspirin pills out of her pocket. "Don't worry. They're not poison. They're aspirin." She clarified once she saw Regina's furrowed brows. "They help with the pain..."
"I know what they are. It's just you're not usually nice." Regina said skeptically, taking the pills.
"Nice has nothing to do with it. I need you sharp tonight." Maleficent said, moving to stand in front of Regina's mirror, adjusting her blonde hair.
"For what? More games?"
"No. No more games." She smirked, walking away from the mirror. "You want to know why we're in this town? The fact is, we are after the same thing as you -- the Author." Maleficent said, smirking as Regina stood up to look in the mirror.
Once Maleficent confessed to their plan, Regina could not keep a straight face. Her eyes widened. Her mouth went agape. But then, she realized that Maleficent could see her from the mirror's reflection.
"How do you know about the Author?" Regina asked, turning to look at Maleficent.
"Rumplestiltskin. He spilled the whole story to Cruella back in New York."
"Well, good luck finding him. I've been looking for months." Regina sighed, running her fingers through her dark hair.
"But you've been going about it all wrong. What you need are some new allies with new leads on this Author..."
"And these new leads, do they have anything to do with this powerful magic you're hiding?" Regina asked her with a slight devious smirk.
"Before I let you in on that secret... I've got a little job for you." She smirked at them.
"So, I gotta ask..." Dream said, sitting in her chair while Emma was in the passenger seat, and Hook and Neal were in Emma's yellow bug.
"Ask what?" Emma asked, looking at Dream.
"You and Neal? How's that going?" Dream asked, glancing over to her.
"What do you mean?" Emma asked, looking to the side mirror and seeing the yellow bug driving behind them.
"Do you guys ever talk about getting married?" Dream asked as Emma's eyes widened a bit.
"Um... No." Emma shook her head. "Did-- Did he mention anything to you?" She asked, looking at Dream, who was smiling at Emma's confusion.
"No... But I mean, you guys have a lot of history..." Dream said, glancing over at Emma. "Do you see a future with him?" She asked, stopping as they got to Granny's diner, where they were supposed to meet up with David and Mary Margaret.
"Uh... I don't know..." Emma sighed when Dream turned off the car.
"You're hesitant about it?" Dream asked with a raised brow.
"I mean... Yeah, we have a lot of history... And Henry... But--" Emma sighed, looking down at the keychain she started wearing again when she returned with Neal.
"But something's not the same?" Dream asked, leaning her head back on the chair.
"Yeah..." Emma sighed when Dream moved to grab her hand.
"Do you love him?" Dream asked when Emma sighed, looking down.
"Yeah... I think I'll always love him... But I've been thinking that something is off." Emma sighed when Dream moved to hug her.
"A bit of sisterly advice... I love Neal... But don't feel obligated to stay with someone just because it's comfortable. You stay with someone... No, you love someone because if you think about life without them, it is going to make your world stop. Like losing them will destroy you." Dream said, rubbing Emma's back.
"Is that what you feel with Hook?" Emma asked when she pulled away from the hug to look at Dream.
"I felt it from the first day I met him..." Dream smiled as Emma nodded, giving her a smile.
"Why are you being so nice to me right now? I mean, everything we've been through--"
"Emma... we're family. In many ways, to be far... But we've always kind of been like sisters... And sisters are always going to be there for each other." Dream smiled when the sweet moment got interrupted, but Hook tapped on the window. "We're coming... We're coming." Dream chuckled, opening the door to see her impatient husband.
"You've been rushing me all day, and now, you're taking your time, love?" Hook scoffed when Dream shook her head.
"Well, one thing you need to learn is that when you have doctor appointments, you have to be on time... Not to mention, we were looking for my mother." Dream smirked, patting his chest, before opening the door to get her babies out. Emma got out to do the same with the other twin.
"Hey, we're here," David said to the empty library, where Regina texted Dream and Emma to meet her.
"I said we needed to meet covertly." Regina walked into view, scoffing as she looked at Dream and Emma. "Now, I see you brought the entire Charming softball team... and their pirate mascot?" Regina scoffed, looking at the group.
"We were worried about you." Mary Margaret tried to justify.
"And is that any way to talk to your son-in-law?" Hook spat at Regina, who rolled her eyes at his comment.
"Well, then worry quickly. I can't be seen with all of you." Regina spat, referring to Mary Margaret's comment.
"Regina, listen to me. This is a bad idea. This woman... this dragon. She's dangerous, and you don't know the first thing about going undercover." Emma tried to say to Regina.
Suddenly, Evangeline babbled aloud, causing her brother to babble back. Dream chuckled, looking at Hook, who held Sebastian while she held Evangeline.
"You tell her, Evie..." Neal chuckled while Regina kept looking at Emma.
"I'm a quick study. And Maleficent already told me why they're here. Apparently... they're after the Author, too. I simply want him to change my fate... And save Dreamy from dying."
"What do they want?" Dream asked her mother.
"They want to shift the entire balance... so that villains win and heroes lose." Regina sighed as the Charmings, Emma, and Neal looked at each other. "They feel the only way to get their happy ending is to destroy yours." Regina sighed, looking at the group of heroes.
