"Gold's cabin's up ahead. We go on foot from here." Emma said to her parents, Neal, and Arthur, as she got out of her father's truck with both of her parents.
"Anything from Hook or Dream?" Mary Margaret asked, following her daughter.
"Think he's managed to turn Ursula yet?" Neal asked, moving to walk with Emma.
"If she hasn't turned him..." David added, making Neal and Emma look back at him.
"Really? We're thinking that now?" Emma scoffed at her dad.
"Well, he kind of went to a dark place this morning..." David began to say.
"Do you blame him? If Gold did to me what he did to Hook, I'd want to shove that dagger through his heart, too. And I most definitely know that Dream feels the same." Emma said, turning to look ahead.
Mary Margaret and David exchanged a look of concern to each other. "Emma, that's not you. You're not--" Mary Margaret began to say to her daughter.
"It's also not Hook and Dream. Relax." Emma sighed, stopping to look at her parents. "I'm just saying I understood where he was coming from. Come on. Gold might not hurt a kid, but August? Who knows what he'll do to him? He tried to kill his own daughter!" Emma sighed, turning to walk again.
Gold's cabin.
August looked up stiffly as he looked wooden, but after a few minutes, he resumed his human-like exterior.
"When you said it was temporary, you weren't kidding, were you, Darling?" Cruella asked Gold with a scoff.
"You see, you may no longer look like the puppet you once were, but it matters not. That potion you just drank has activated that built-in lie detector of yours." Gold smirked, walking closer to August once again.
"I don't know what you're talking about..." August tried to lie, but he began to wince in pain as they heard wood cracking.
Then, right before their eyes, August's nose grew.
"Excellent." Gold chuckled. "The next lie is gonna hurt," Gold smirked, waving his hand to turn August's chair to face the other way.
Gold smirked, grabbing August's shirt and pushing him toward the fire. Cruella and Maleficent watched with delight and awe while Regina tried to hide the horrified look on her face.
"What do you know about the Author?" Gold asked him as August winced from the heat coming off the fire.
"I already told you everything." August sighed, but his nose grew again.
"Try again, deary. Where is he?" Gold chuckled as August winced in pain.
"I don't know." August lied again, but he grunted as his nose grew again.
"Do not fool yourself. I will get my answer." Gold said through his gritted teeth.
"Okay..."
"Where is he?" Gold asked, hoping this torture would work.
"All right... I'm gonna tell you what you want to know... The Sorcerer, uh, trapped the Author behind a door." August began to say as he panted from the heat.
"The sorcerer? A door? He's speaking in riddles." Cruella scoffed.
"No, listen to me, Gold. You know about the Sorcerer... You know, I'm telling the truth." August continued, suddenly telling the truth to save himself. "And she-- she knows about the door." He said, turning to look at Regina.
Regina furrowed her brows, pretending to be oblivious about what August was saying, while the others looked at her.
"I know my papa gave you my things. There was a page that I took out of the book... had an illustration of the door on it." He continued to explain.
"Regina?" Gold asked, halting his torture for a moment.
"They were just scraps of paper." Regina scoffed, playing dumb.
"Then, you'll have no problem sharing them with us now," Gold smirked at her.
"Well, I would if I hadn't already given them to Henry." Regina scoffed at him.
Gold nodded. "Do you remember what the door looks like?" Gold asked August.
"Uh... made of wood... Hand-carved frame. Gilt in gold." August began to describe vaguely.
"Where is the door?" Gold asked him, grabbing his shirt to hold him again.
"All I know... is... it's somewhere in Storybrooke." He said as Gold chuckled when his nose did not grow.
He chuckled, patting August's back before dragging him back to the chair. "There we are, now. That wasn't so hard, now, was it?" Gold asked while August stayed quiet. "Since the sorcerer was the one who did the trapping, we will start our search for the door at his mansion," Gold said, adjusting his tie. "Maleficent--"
"I'll stay here and watch the puppet." Regina volunteered.
"No, no... Cruella will be our guard dog." Gold said, putting his jacket back on. "Since you're the only one who's seen the drawing of the door... you're gonna have to help us find it," Gold smirked at Regina.
"Be careful, love. That's distilled from Wonderland's finest mushrooms. Spill one drop, and well... Storybrooke will have a giant squid in its harbor." Hook smirked, holding the bottle with his ship inside, while Ursula held a bottle of the diluted mushroom that made them grow ten times its size.
Ursula gave him an annoyed look before dropping a small drop onto the bottle. The ship glowed inside before Hook threw the bottle into the water. The bottle broke as the Jolly Roger grew back to its original side.
"Now, that's a ship fit for a pirate." He smirked, looking at his ship.
