"Do you think they can find the Author?" Emma asked Regina.
"They had a lead... we don't. And tonight, they want me to help them steal it... Whatever it is." Regina sighed, looking nervous and upset over what they might have her do.
"I'm telling you, these things never end well..." Emma tried to say to Regina.
"I understand your concern, but I'm in," Regina said as Dream sighed, looking at her daughter.
"Okay, well, then I'm in too."
"What?" Regina asked, looking at Emma like she was insane.
"I'm gonna stick by you. I'm gonna get your back while you do this--"
"No, it's too dangerous..." Regina tried to argue back.
"I said I was a part of Operation Mongoose. I am a part of it. You wanted my help-- now you're gonna get it no matter what it means for both of us." Emma said, not taking any other opinions. "Whatever she has planned tonight, I'll be there."
"Hey, what did you and Emma talk about?" Neal asked, stopping at the diner to look at Dream, who was putting the kids in their car seats as Hook went inside to get them some dinner.
"Why do you wanna know, Nosy?" Dream chuckled, standing up after getting Sebastian buckled in, which meant both babies were in their car seats.
"Just curious..." He shrugged, putting his hands in his pockets. "She has not been talking to me much like she had been... I can't-- I can't help but think that she's putting her walls up again." He sighed, glancing over to Emma, who was talking to her parents at the clock tower.
"You guys have a lot of history--" Dream went to say.
"Yeah, and we both made a lot of stupid mistakes..." Neal sighed when Dream sighed.
"You left her before... Died on her nearly three times..."
"I know, but--" Neal tried to say again.
"And... I know from experience that she might still have flashbacks from New York. A normal life with no evil relatives or evil witches who are trying to destroy our families... She was happy with her and Henry. And now... She's back to being the Savior. Back to this difficult life." Dream sighed when Neal nodded.
"You think she needs a break? A break from us?" Neal asked when Dream scoffed a bit.
"Have you even been listening? She needs support, Neal..." Dream sighed, when Neal looked down to the ground. "Is there something you're not telling me?" Dream asked, raising a brow as Neal refused to look up at her.
"I told her I wanted to have another baby..." Neal said quietly.
"And what did she say?" Dream asked, almost in a whisper.
"We-- We were talking about her parents... how she was feeling guilty for not trusting them... And I kind of blurted it out--"
*A Few Days Ago*
"Hey, I don't intend to let you down... again," Neal said, holding Emma's hand as they sat in the sheriff's station.
"I know." She nodded, giving him a small smile.
"I mean... I want to have a family with you." He blurted out as Emma's eyes widened a bit. "I mean, a bigger one... You know, since we have Henry already." It was his turn to ramble.
"Neal..." Emma sighed while he just continued.
"You know... I was an only child growing up, and then everything with my parents... You know, I was so excited when I found out I had a sister. And seeing her getting married and having a family with Hook... It's been making me think--"
"Neal," Emma said, causing him to stop and look at her.
"Yeah?" He asked when she sighed a bit.
"I gotta make sure this town is safer before I even think about bringing another kid into it..." She sighed when he nodded.
"I understand..." he nodded. But maybe we could start by having you move in with me?" he asked when she shook her head slowly.
"My parents need help with Neal... And Henry... That's the only time he gets to spend with his grandparents--"
"No, no... I-- I understand." Neal nodded, sighing a bit to himself.
Emma gave him a small smile before leaning in to kiss him. The kiss was to reassure him that she still loved him. Neal swallowed his pride, leaning in to kiss her back.
But before they could kiss, they were interrupted by the sound of footsteps. They turned to see Emma's parents, who had been standing there.
