*Present day*

*Storybrooke, Maine*

"Thank heavens that potion was only temporary. The scruff is so much more attractive than the timber." Cruella smirked, sitting across from August, who was visibly uncomfortable.

But her flirting with August was interrupted by Emma kicking in the door. Cruella jumped up from her chair.

"I'm here for my friend," Emma said to Cruella.

"So, the savior found us, did she?" Cruella asked, pulling out her silver pistol. "Now leave." She smirked, aiming the gun at Emma.

But before she could shoot or threaten Emma, she was knocked out by a frying pan. Emma looked surprised, seeing her mother smirking as she held the frying pan.

"Nice one, Mom." Emma smiled, a little surprised as David came in from the side door.

"Well, the first thing you learn as a bandit--back door's usually unlocked." Mary Margaret shrugged, setting the frying pan on the chair.

"August, are you okay? Did they hurt you?" Emma asked as Arthur and Neal walked in as David tried to untie August.

"I'll survive." August smiled in relief.

Emma took a step back, waving her hand to make the rope around his ankles magically vanish, along with the ropes around his hands that David was trying to untie.

"Well, I see somebody's been practicing," August smirked as Arthur looked at Neal, who did not like the way that August was looking at Emma.

"Well, I seem to remember someone telling me I just needed to believe in myself." Emma smiled at him.

"I always knew you'd figure it out," August smirked, but Neal cleared his throat, making everyone look at him.

Emma furrowed her brows at Neal before kneeling in front of August. "It's good to have you back. Even if it isn't the way things were supposed to be. I'm glad I didn't have to wait twenty years to see you as you again." Emma continued to smile as Neal clenched his jaw.

"Me too." August chuckled, smiling as Mary Margaret and David smiled, too.

"Uh... We should, you know, get out of here..." Neal said, scratching the back of his neck.

"Come on. Let's get you out of here." Emma smiled at August.

"No one is going anywhere." Ursula spat as she came through the front door.

"Where is Hook and Dream? What'd you do to them?" Emma asked with widened eyes.

"Sorry, sweetheart. But the pirate is shark bait." Ursula smirked in a devious smirk before grabbing Mary Margaret with her tentacle and squishing her. "Drop those hands... or your mother here's gonna need gills to breathe," Ursula warned Emma, who raised her hand to use magic.

*The Enchanted Forest*

"But I had to." Poseidon tried to say to his daughter, who scoffed at him.

"Don't you understand? My singing was the only thing keeping Mother's spirit alive, and now she's gone forever." Ursula spat at her father. "You wanted me to choose a side. Well, Father, I'm choosing one-- mine!" She scoffed, grabbing his triton from him and aiming toward him.

"Ursula, don't!" He held his hands up.

"All you ever wanted was for me to remain your precious little mermaid. Well, I'm not gonna be that anymore. In fact, I'm not gonna be a mermaid at all. You named me Ursula after the sea goddess of old. Legend says she was strong and powerful. Well, that's exactly what I want to be." She said with gritted teeth as she turned the triton to her, especially her tail.
