Ezra

This morning when I woke up I had a massive headache and I know it was because of the blow I received yesterday night from my father. I groaned as I stood up from my bed and went to my bathroom and let out a gasp when I saw the right side of my eye.

My whole eye is black and I clenched my jaw. How am I going to explain this to Leah and Valencia. I know they are going to ask questions.

I winced as I stripped out of my clothes. My whole abdomen are aching and I wanted to cry when I see my whole abdomen purple and blue. Again.

My bruises was healing from the other day and now it's worse.

I swallowed the lump in my throat and climbed into my small shower. After I took my shower I dried myself off and went to my closet. I dressed in some black cargo pants with a white sweatshirt and my old Converse shoes. I sprayed on my cologne and then quickly brushed my teeth before I grabbed my backpack and opened my bedroom door slowly.

I sighed in relief when I don't hear anything and then went downstairs. I grabbed an apple and went to the front door and saw Valencia's car parked in front of the house.

I climbed in and mumbled a good morning and kept my head tilted away from her so she doesn't question my black eye.

"Ezra, why are you acting so weird?" She questioned me and I suddenly became nervous.

"I'm not." I said and looked scratched the back of my neck.

"Look at me." She commanded and I groaned.

"No." I said stubbornly and I heard her sigh.

"Ezra." She said warningly and I looked at her and her eyes snapped to my black eye and she gasped.

"Ezra, what the fuck!" She suddenly cupped my cheeks in her hands and I suddenly feel my stomach tingling from her soft touch.

Her hands are so soft and warm.

No Ezra stop it.

"What happened?" She asked softly as her thumb rubbed against my cheek softly.

"Bar fight." I said and she rolled her eyes.

"You seriously think I believe that." She said and pulled her hands away from my face.

"Believe what you want, it's the truth." I shrugged and she shook her head.

"Let's just go the school before we're late." She started the car and drove off.

Once we arrived at school I was ready to climb out but I felt her soft hand grabbed my wrist.

"Are you okay?" She asked me suddenly and I stare curiously at her.

Why does she suddenly care?

"Yeah I'm fine, thanks." She nodded and then climbed out.

I followed after her and grabbed her hand in mine and walked towards the school building.

"Aren't you like creeped out when everyone stare at you in the morning." I asked her in a whisper.

"No, after all I'm used to this." She replied back and I nod.

Once we came to a stop at my locker she squeezed my hand before she let go of it.

"I'll see you at lunch." She said as she stare up at me. Even when she's wearing heels I'm still a bit taller than her and I love it.

"Sure can Leah join." She rolled her eyes and nod.

"Sure, whatever." She kissed my injured cheek softly and gave me a small smile.

"I'll see you later." All I could do was nod and stare at her in a daze when she walked away.

"Don't tell me that you're falling for her." I heard Leah's voice and I let out a chuckle.

"Yeah right, that will never happen." I turned to look at her and her eyes widen when she saw my black eye.

"I'm gonna kill a bitch today!" She said angrily and was about to run off to Valencia but I grabbed her shoulders.

"Hey, chill it wasn't her." She glared at me and crossed her arms over her chest.

"Then please explain to me where you got that nasty black eye from." I sighed and gave her a small smile.

"Bar fight." She frowned and shook her head.

"What the hell were you doing at a bar?" I chuckled nervously and shrugged.

"Just for a drink." I said nervously and opened my locker and got my books that I needed.

"Well stay away from bars from now on or I swear Ezra." She said in a warming tone and I nodded frantically.

"Don't worry I'll stay away from now on." She nod and gave my shoulder a little punch.

"You better." I chuckled.

Yeah let's hope my father doesn't hit me in the face again.
