Ezra

As I was sitting here in the cafeteria eating little bites of Valencia's food how worse I started to feel. My ribs were aching from the position I'm sitting in but I can't give anything away to show that I'm in pain.

I feel my phone vibrating in my pocket and I took it out and saw it was Leah.

Leah ~ Did you take your medicine this morning?

I look over at Leah and she had a worried look on her face as she looked at me.

~ No I didn't, I have to get new ones.

I shut my phone off and pushed the Tupperware container away from me since I can feel the dizziness getting worse.

"What medicine is Leah talking about?" I heard Valencia suddenly whisper in my ear. I jumped a little since I didn't expect it.

"Straight forward, huh?" I tease through my dizziness and she rolled her eyes playfully.

"You don't have to tell me."

"I'm Epileptic, the medicine just prevents me from getting seizures." Valencia nodded along as I explained.

"That must be difficult for you." I shrugged and leaned my head on my arms on the table.

"I'm used to it." Her eyes softened as she looked at me and then rubs my back soothingly making my eyes feel heavier than they were.

After lunch me and Valencia said goodbye to each other and then me and Leah went to class.

"Ez, shouldn't I just take you home?" Leah said softly and I shook my head.

"No, I'm fine thank you though." She sigh and then nod hesitatingly.

"Fine, but the moment you start to feel worse you call or text me and I'll drive your ass home." I let out a chuckle and nod.

"Alright."

After school I waited for Valencia at her car since it's our usual routine.

I regret not going to the pharmacy yesterday to get my medicine.

As I waited I started to feel how my hands started to tingle. I rubbed my hands together and curse myself for not listening to Leah. The tingling in my hands started to get worse and I feel my heart started to beat faster in my chest.

Please not now!

Not in front of everyone!

I looked around frantically for Valencia and I saw her walking toward me.

I tried to get her attention. "Val." I tried to shout but my words came out in a slurred mumble.

"Val." I tried again but it was no use.

I can feel the symptoms getting stronger and I started to loose feelings in my legs.

Valencia

I was walking to my car knowing Ezra would be there waiting for me.

When Ezra told me earlier today that she's Epileptic my heart shattered in my chest. Recently I've been developing some feelings for her and that's not good since we promised each other that this is all just an act.

I saw her leaning against my car and when I saw her face I know something was terribly wrong.

"Ezra?" I wrapped my hands around her waist to help her to balance herself.

"Ezra, what's going on?" Ezra mumble something but I couldn't hear her.

"Say again." I said softly and brought my ear closer to her mouth.

"Fit." She mumbled. "Lie down." My eyes widen when she said that. I quickly helped her to lie down on the ground and took my cheerleading hoodie out of my bag and put it under her head.

I know if someone is having an seizure you don't touch them since when you do their bones can break and cause more damage.

Ezra's body started to jerk on the floor and I hold back my tears as I watch how her body jerk on the floor.

"Ezra!" I watch as Leah hurried to Ezra and I stopped her from touching her.

"Don't touch her!" Leah looked over at me with anger in her eyes.

"Leah, she's having a seizure, if you touch her head, her hand, anything that could restrain her body's movements, it can break her bones. You've got to let it happen." I explained calmly and gently to her.

I glanced back at Ezra and I saw her eyes rolling back in her head.

Her whole body was stiff and jerking in movement. A few tears rolled down my cheeks when I saw blood coming out of her mouth.

She must've bit her tongue. After it felt like hours, but it was just a few minutes, Ezra's movements calmed down and her eyes shut fully.

I immediately bend down beside her and hold her hand. I look at Leah and saw she's frozen where she's standing.

"It's okay, you can touch her now." I rubbed her hand and wiped her hair out of her face.

"Ezra can you hear me." I gently rubbed her arm and I saw her eyes flutter open.

"Val." I sigh in relief when I saw she was okay.

"What happened?" She tried to sit up and I helped her.

"You got a seizure sweetheart, how do you feel?" I rub her back and she groans.

"My mouth feels fuzzy." She said cutely and I hold back a giggle at her cuteness.

"Let's get you home."

"Wait! I didn't pee myself did I?!"
