"Rick, we could take half their army by just getting the citizens out of there. How is that a bad plan?" I ask, "How do you know that if we bring them here that they won't turn on us and help him?" he asks, "That's a good point. But I say we give them a chance, or he's coming after the 2 things he wants. Rick, he'll destroy us and you know it" I say.
"What do you mean the 2 things he wants? What does he want besides our home?" he asks, I pull him into the corner away from everyone, I turn my back so nobody can read my lips, "He wants Michonne. She killed his daughter, let me note she was a Walker. And she took his eye when he tried to kill her" I say, he pinches the bridge of his nose and looks down at the floor.
"Jade, what can I possibly do?" he asks, "Well I don't think giving her up is a good idea. She's made her mark here and she's made her keep. Its not fair to just trade her like that, however, I'm not in charge so my opinion doesn't really matter. Your the leader Rick, so you need to figure it out" I leave it at that and walk away.
I decide to finish the shower job I started a week ago and never finished. I grab the tool bag and head to the bathroom.
"Watcha doin'?" Carl asks abruptly making me smack my head off the shower head when I jump, "Hey bud. What's up?" I ask, "Nothing. I'm just really bored" he says, "Yeah. I know, so am I" I say smiling. I run past him and tap his shoulder, "You're it!" I yell and run our of the bathroom, "That's not fair! You cheated!" he yells running after me. I run up the steps and hang over the perch, "I'm up here slow poke" I tease.
He sprints up the steps and I stand at the railing, I climb over rail and dangle on the ledge before dropping myself to the ground, "That's not fair! Your cheating! I can't do that" he whines, "Says who? You can do anything you set your mind to" I say looking up at him, he climbs over the rail and lowers himself the ledge, "Come on, you can do it" I encourage him, he jumps to the ground. "I did it!" he yells, "See I told you" I say. He pokes me, "You're it!" he yells laughing and running again, "Oh, you little rascal!" I grumble and chase after him.
[Daryl's P.O.V.]
I hear laughing and feet pattering on the floor, just before a smiling and very happy Jade comes running in with Carl hot on her heels. She runs up the stairs and leans over the perch, "Come on you slow poke" she yells down, it's funny how clueless she is that we're all watching her.
Carl runs up the steps and Jade jumps the rail and dangles down to the ground, Carl whines and says Jade isn't playing fair, she encourages him to try. He succeeds and pokes her, "You're it!" he yells and runs off laughing, "You little rascal!" Jade growls before sprinting after him. I laugh at her but she doesn't notice.
I'm glad to see her having fun, she has this thing with kids and it makes her a whole lot more attractive. I can't really explain it, I think it is absolutely adorable how she is so childish around children but so mature and badass around everyone else. She never fails to impress and surprise me. I turn my attention back to Rick and our plan for what we're gonna do about the Governor.
[Jade's P.O.V.]
After I wore Carl out with a game of tag and a little bit of parkour I decide to go talk to Rick and Daryl to see what the plan is so far.
I grab a soda and crack it open as I walk into the main room, "What have we got so far?" I ask, "We're thinking about going through the back gates. We can have someone jump the fence the same way we did last time and open the gate and bring the citizens back here. We need someone to scope out and wait for the governor to leave though. Michonne says he leaves everyday around noon. And that he's usually gone for quite a while. I really think this could work, Jade" Rick says, a small smile forming on his lips, "When do we go and who's all going?" I ask, "Its just gonna be Daryl, Michonne, and I. I'm gonna need you to stay here and take charge in case he opens fire on us while were not here" he says, my smile fades. That makes sense but the thought of leaving Daryl doesn't settle over well with me.
Its not long after they leave that Glenn asks me to take guard. I tell him to go take the West tower and to be very careful, he takes Maggie with him. I smile at them micheviously and Glenn punches my shoulder playfully, I smile, "I'll take guard on the crossover, if anyone needs anything you know where to find me" I say starting to walk away, "Oh, and Glenn. Use protection" I say, Glenn salutes me and I smile walking outside.
