Gabby finally returned to Walford, hopping out of a taxi with a massive bruise on her left eye which was covered up with glasses. She paid the taxi driver and walked into the vic, looking around for some presence of Fatboy or for her Auntie Kat.

Fatboy was sat in one of his usual spots in The Queen Victoria watching the telly when he saw Gabby step inside. He felt a wave of relief wash over him as he realised that she had come back like he expected her to. "Hey...hey Gabby" he greeted softly as he raised his hand, waving over to her and attempting to get her to come over to him.

Gabby takes her glasses off and smiles softly, revealing a yellow bruise on her face. "So where's my Connie , hmm?" she asks, looking down at Fatboy confused.

Fatboy's heart seemed to stop in his chest briefly as he realised how badly bruised she was. "She's...she's not here at the moment" he responded softly, suddenly feeling like what he was doing now was a terrible idea.

He thought back to everything that happened the last time that Gabby had been in Walford, but still, he wasn't expecting her to have returned in such a beaten up state. "Is everything okay?" he asked, trying to sound caring and gentle.

Gabby nods, smiling softly as she sits down. "Hit myself off a door, it's fine" she sighs deeply as she takes off her jacket. "So, did you manage to cope with her alright? Did you get my messages?" she interrogates, bombarding Fatboy with questions about their child

"Well, yeah, I've managed"  Fatboy sighs as he shrugs his shoulders. "And yeah, I got your messages" he continues, his tone trying to be casual and relaxed. "What's been going on with you?" he asks, trying to change the subject away from Connie .

"Nothing, I just had problems I needed to sort before I came back to Walford..." Gabby spoke, reassuring him that things were okay. "I had to get all of mine and Connie 's stuff and bring it up here to the new flat, tie a few loose ends"

"What...what kind of loose ends?" Fatboy questions, his tone still relaxed but becoming more concerned as he realised that she had been away for much longer than he expected. "Were you okay? In Croydon, I mean?"

"Yeah, I managed to get my dad in rehab...he's gonna be there for a few weeks..." she sighs deeply, folding her arms. "Right, let's go find Connie ...yeah?" she smiles softly as she gets up, clapping her hands together.

"Okay..." Fatboy sighs again as he stands up after her, following her lead as she starts to walk out of The Queen Victoria. "Um, where are we going?" he questions, feeling a bit of panic in his chest now that she was rushing like this.

"I'm assuming she's with Tyler and Anthony?" Gabby questions as they walk towards the emporium. Gabby notices that Connie  is in a pram next to Anthony who's currently selling food outside the caff. Gabby runs over and grabs her daughter, kissing her head softly. "Oh I missed you, come here baby-girl!"

Fatboy just watched as Gabby ran over to Anthony and Connie , feeling a strange mixture of relief and concern as he watched her interact with her daughter. He couldn't help but think about what she'd just said about her dad being in rehab, as well as what kind of loose ends she'd been having to tie up - it seemed like a lot more than he had initially thought.

Gabby looks over at Anthony puzzled as he notices what he's selling. "You didn't give her any of those pears, did you?" Gabby suddenly asks, checking her daughter over for any rashes.

Anthony just shrugged his shoulders, seeming a little bit annoyed at the question. "No...and even if I did it's not like she'd be allergic to them" he replied, still annoyed at getting questioned like this, but also worried by what he saw in Gabby's eyes.
