Gabby sighs as she scrolls through her laptop, looking at wedding stuff as she sits in her mother's living room. Joanne walks up from behind and sits down next to her. "Ain't this all a bit too fast, I mean...you've only been dating the lad 5 minutes!" Joanne sighs, looking up at her daughter with a look of worry.

Gabby chuckles softly...as she glances over at her mother...as she puts her laptop down on the table in front of her.

"Mum...we're not thinking about having the wedding next week..." she sighs softly...as she rests her head on the table, as if this was making her feel a little too tired to think clearly. "We're thinking about having it next year...so that gives us plenty of time to plan everything..."

"I know but, don't you think it's gonna confuse Connie?" Joanne suggests, tilting her head. "seeing her mum and dad get married...just for you two to probably divorce?"

"Mum, I know you mean well...but, I honestly think we're gonna stay married for life..." Gabby says gently...as she's starting to feel a little bit annoyed at her mother for assuming the worst out of her and FatBoy getting married.

Joanne gets up out of her seat and sighs, walking over to Connie who's playing with some of her dolls.

Gabby then watches as Joanne goes over to look after Connie, as she sighs to herself...as she realizes how her mother can really get...especially when it comes to things like this.

"Honestly, I know you mean well...but...we're adults who can do what we want..." she murmurs softly to herself...as she's starting to get more and more annoyed just thinking about the whole situation.

Joanne scoffs, looking at her daughter in annoyance. "You're 19 years old, you've got your whole life ahead of you!" she sighs, picking up Connie. "And instead you wanna marry a man who's a failed DJ and acts like a child?"

"Why are you so negative about him?!" Gabby exclaims, as she suddenly looks back over at her mother...and she's clearly starting to get annoyed by this. "What's wrong with him?" she asks...as her mood immediately changes to being more defensive.

"He just...he doesn't seem like the right man for you." Joanne responds, placing Connie down in a highchair and going to the kitchen to grab her sandwhich.

Gabby sighs as she listens to what her mother has to say...as she watches her walk off into the kitchen...leaving her alone.

"What do you mean by the right man for me...what does the right man even look like?" she says softly...as she starts to think of just what her mother would consider a "right man" for her to be with.

"Not a 20 year old who currently lives in the B&B, and wears clothes like he's still 15" she scoffs, placing Connie's food infront of her.

"He's gonna change a bit once we get married...he's gonna sort himself out..." she murmurs softly to herself. It wasn't that she didn't get where her mother was coming from...but...she just hates how her mother was talking about FatBoy like he was the worst possible choice.

"We're the ones paying for your flat!" Joanne exclaims, her eyes widening. "what does he even contribute to the family?"

"Mum..." Gabby sighs, as she quickly stands up...not liking how the conversation was going...and this was only making her even more mad. "So you're telling me that you'd rather have me marry a rich douchebag who doesn't care about me...instead of a guy who actually makes me happy?" she asks...clearly still a bit irritated.

"I just don't want you to marry Fatboy" Joanne sighs, pushing her hair back. "please, do not do something you'll regret..."

Gabby exhales deeply...as she's now starting to realize that she isn't getting anywhere no matter what she said...so she sighs softly.
