In the space of only 4 days, a lot had happened. After Dan had been arrested, things had gone quiet for Gabby but her own wounds from Dan's abuse were beginning to feel more apparent every day.
As she sat on the sofa, holding her daughter, she thought back through to what they had experienced, her mind quickly beginning to be filled with bad memories as the wounds began to open up even more.
She couldn't help but feel ashamed for putting her daughter through such a traumatic event, even though Dan had been the one to lay his hands on her.
she knew that Fatboy was going to a football match today with the Vic team so she decided to go along and watch him play with Connie .
Fatboy had suggested to her that she came along to the game as a way of taking her mind off what she had been through. She was still struggling with her mental health from all that had happened, and he thought it might do her some good to see him play.
She had agreed to go with him, and had even brought Connie along with them, hoping that it would help with taking her mind off everything.
she smiled softly as she watched Fatboy play on the team, watching along before a fight suddenly broke out.
The game went on as normal for a few moments, but just when things seemed to be going smoothly, a fight had suddenly broken out among the players.
A few people were yelling at each other and things quickly spiralled into full-blown aggression, fatboy was doing everything he could to avoid getting tangled up in it but others were now joining in. It seemed the only way this was going to be resolved quickly was if someone took charge and stopped everyone from fighting. Gabby sighed as she walked into the minivan, placing Connie on her lap, Connie looked up at her happily as she was placed on her lap, her smile was something she had been missing from her life more and more of late.
Fatboy then made his way over towards them, the fight had ended but he was still visibly upset as he spoke to her. "We're going home early, that's it" he continued, looking back over towards the people that had been fighting to make sure it was over.
"Why did Derek have to fight, hmm?" She groans in annoyance as everyone else on the team gets onto the bus, a massive uproar coming from them all.
"Well..." Fatboy began to try and explain, but he couldn't really think of a satisfying answer to this. "Derek is just a bit hot-headed, he gets angry quite easily" he spoke back softly, trying to think of something that might make her feel better.
"The fight isn't really your problem though, right?" he continues with a soft smile on his face, trying to make her feel better about the situation.
"Suppose" she shrugs, giggling as she and Connie play together.

Gabby sighs as she gets out the van, Kat smiling as Gabby and Connie walk over to the Vic. "Alright, Kat?" she smiles, holding Connie in her arms.
"Hi Gabby!" says Kat as she sees Gabby and Connie heading over to the Vic, the smile on her face brightening her mood even more than it already was.
"How's Connie ?" she asks with a friendly grin on her face as she looks down at the little one in Gabby's arms.
"Great, she's great" she smiles softly as the 3 of them make their way into the Vic, ignoring the boys as they rambled on about whatever just happened.
