Gabby smirks as she looks at wedding dresses, Joanne watching on. "What about this one, mum?" Gabby questions, holding up a dress next to her body.
Joanne shrugs her shoulders a bit. "Hmm...I gotta say...I'm not really a fan of this one, I'm not going to lie!" she sighs. "Though you never know...there may be no better one available..."
Joanne then sighs as she sits down next to her. "Honestly...the wedding is getting very close...and here we are...with you only just starting to look for your wedding dress..." she chuckles softly.
"The wedding is three months away..." Gabby says, tilting her head back and sighing. "we haven't even got a reception venue..." she adds on, looking at the dresses infront of her. "I was thinking about the Vic..."
Joanne gives a bit of a scoff as she sees that idea. "The Vic? Seriously?" she questions...as she then chuckles a bit. "And, also...the Vic is way too small to even manage a decent reception...we'd have to find something bigger...as I'm sure we'd want to invite a lot of people to it!"
"Yeah, but the vic is closer...cheaper?" she shrugs, getting up and walking over to a dress. "we have barely any money."
Joanne sighs once again...as she keeps her arms crossed. "Yeah, I guess you're right that the Vic is cheaper...but as I said...we wouldn't be able to fit everyone we'd want in there...as for the money issue...do you want me to help out with the payment a bit?"
"Dad's already given up £20,000..." she replies, taking out a small little bridal dress. "this is cute?" she smiles, holding it up to her body.
Joanne shrugs lightly...as she then nods her head. "I mean...now that you've shown it to me...yeah...I'd say that the dress looks pretty cute...and besides..." she frowns a little bit. "£20,000? Damn...I didn't think he'd have the money to contribute that much..but it's a surprise to me that he did.."
she shrugs. "That's dad for ya..." she chuckles, placing the dress on the pouffe. She looks down at the price and gasps.
Joanne eyes the price as well...as she then gives a big sigh. "Jesus...it's expensive..." she mutters to herself.
"Yeah..." she stammers, she looks up at her mum and smirks. "I'm gonna buy it anyways" she says, grinning.
Joanne then sighs...as she nods her head a little bit. "I suppose that's alright then...just make sure to watch out with how much you spend throughout the rest of the wedding stuff...as there's no point in going into crippling debt just for a party, yeah?"
Gabby nods, taking the dress to the till. "I hope it fits, honestly" she sighs.
Joanne chuckles softly...as she then crosses her fingers. "Yeah...I hope so as well...you don't want to be buying a dress that's worth a lot of money just for it to not fit...and having to pay for alterations or anything like that..."
"Yeah" Gabby says, grabbing her credit card and paying for the dress. "Thank you" she smiles to the cashier before the two make their way out of the shop.
Joanne then smiles as well...as they both exit the shop...as she slowly nods her head. "No problem..." she chuckles softly. "And, remember...I'll also be willing to offer some more funds if you require it as well...okay?"
"Aww mum, I couldn't!" Gabby answers back, her eyes widening. "It's the father of the bride who pays for this kinda stuff!" She sighs, placing the dress in the boot of the car.
Joanne shrugs her shoulders...as she slowly gives a little smirk as well. "I still don't mind paying as well...just so we can get everything squared away...so don't worry about that..." she chuckles softly.
Joanne shrugs her shoulders...as she slowly gives a little smirk as well. "I still don't mind paying as well...just so we can get everything squared away...so don't worry about that..." she chuckles softly.
"Yeah...well I still need to get the bridesmaid dresses too" Gabby adds on, getting into the car and putting her seatbelt on.
Joanne chuckles...as she also puts her own seatbelt on as well. "Just let me know the exact color...and I'll be able to organize getting some for everyone..." she mutters to herself...as she starts to try and keep her eye on the road.
"I was thinking Lilac..." she grins, looking at her mum. "Cos it's a spring wedding?" she shrugs.
Joanne leans forward a bit...as she nods her head again. "Yeah...that would make sense for the bridesmaid dresses...after all, it is a spring wedding...so lilac is a great option!" she smiles softly. "Though do you think they'd like the dresses? Seeing as...well...I'm not going to lie...they're all pretty particular with their tastes..."
"but it is my wedding?" she scoffs, looking at her mum in disbelief. "They'll just have to put up with it..."
Joanne chuckles softly at that...as she then gives the smallest of nods. "Yeah...I suppose they are...after all...it is your day...and they should be grateful for even being bridesmaids...let alone being given such a big honor..." she sighs. "Yeah...fine, lilac it is."

Gabby smiles as she tries on her wedding dress, twirling around. Suddenly, the door swings wide open and she screams."Fatboy!" She yells out, slamming the door shut.
FatBoy just stands there for a moment as he hears her scream...before his eyes widen slightly. He stares at the closed door...before he slowly pushes it open.
"What's going on?" he asks her softly...as he crosses his arms across his chest.
Gabby quickly hides behind a wardrobe door. "I'm wearing my wedding dress, it's bad luck!" she yells in a panic, attempting to shove him out.
FatBoy is confused for a moment...but once she says that...he realizes what's going on...and suddenly has his hands up in the air.
"Okay, okay...I'll go...just calm down, alright?" he says calmly and softly. "I understand now..."
FatBoy then slowly walks out of the room...as he slowly closes the door behind him.
"So...what's the thing about bad luck around wedding dresses?" he asks Joanne as he sits down next to her.
Joanne shrugs her shoulders. "There's just a superstition around wedding dresses...as it's said that anyone who sees the bride in her attire before her wedding day will bring bad luck to her and their marriage..." she sighs. "Of course...that's only if they believe in that sort of thing..."
"Yeah, I believe it!" Gabby yells out, wearing her pjs. "I don't want anymore bad luck, okay?"
Joanne chuckles softly as she smiles warmly at her daughter. "It's just an old wives tale honey...I'm sure everything will be fine even if you didn't believe in it..." she grins.
Gabby sighs, collapsing into the sofa. "Is Connie asleep?" she questions, moving her hair to the side.
Joanne nods her head. "She is...so don't worry about her...why...do you plan on staying up again?" she chuckles softly.
"Course not!" Gabby scoffs, looking in shock. "I'm actually really tired..." she yawns, wiping her eyes slightly.
Joanne chuckles briefly as she glances over at the clock. "Well, you should probably go to sleep then...as it's already 11:30PM...and you do have to be up early tomorrow...so yeah...head to bed now...okay?"
"Okay, mum" she scoffs, laughing softly. "Fats?" she says, holding out her hand.
FatBoy then nods his head. "Yeah?" he asks her...as he moves his hand to take hers.
"come on" she smirks, tilting her head. "You can see yourself out, goodnight" Gabby says softly.
FatBoy chuckles a little bit as he takes her hand...as he slowly lets go of her.
"Alright then...goodnight, sweetheart" Joanne grins, smiling softly as she heads out of the living room.
