Gabby looks over at Fatboy as he dresses their daughter, she walks over to him and kisses his head softly.
FatBoy smiles softly as he looks over at her after she's come up to him...as he's not going to pass up the opportunity to get a quick kiss in.
He also notices how she's also been checking over their daughter...as he then smiles at her...as he's clearly quite happy to be a father.
"Can't believe today is Dereks funeral, should I go and check on Alice?" Gabby questions, tilting her head. "She must be feeling terrible..."
FatBoy nods his head...as he thinks that's a good idea, as Alice probably does need some company, especially given that she probably isn't taking the news about Derek's death that well.
"Yeah, I think she'd appreciate you checking up on her...go ahead...I'll look after our daughter..." he says softly, as he gently touches her shoulder.
Gabby kisses his head, grabbing her coat and walking out of the flat. She makes her way over to Alice's house, noticing that her and Poppy were stood outside. Gabby runs over to Alice, smothering her in a hug.
"Oh, Alice!" Gabby sighs deeply, keeping her in a deep hug. "I'm so so sorry, darling..."
Alice then turns around...and quickly embraces it...as she starts to get choked up by the sheer emotion of the moment.
"I can't believe this...I...I don't wanna believe this...this isn't real, right?...you're joking with me..." she sobs...as she's literally unable to stop crying.
"I get it, I know he's your dad..." Gabby says softly, wiping Alice's tears with her thumb. "But, he'll be up there right now...and he's probably not wanting you to cry, he'd probably want you to celebrate his life"
"I know...I know...but..." Alice then takes a breath and tries to stop crying...as she's still unable to stop.
"I miss him so much already, I don't want him to go..." she sobs...as she's clearly still struggling to come to terms with everything.

Poppy looks over at the two softly, thinking of what to say. "Look, Alice..." Poppy then says softly...as she quickly walks over to join the hug...as she starts to try and comfort Alice as well. "He's in a much better place now...alright?...don't cry on his account..." she smiles, trying to cheer Alice up as best she could.
Gabby nods, agreeing with Poppy. As they then all continue to hug...they all quietly stand there for a moment...as they finally all manage to stop crying.
"Listen, I've gotta get Connie to nursery, but I promise I'll come over later...okay?" Gabby says, waving the two girls goodbye.
Alice nods...as she quickly waves back at her. "Yeah, alright...see you later..." she says softly as they all part ways...as she tries to recover a bit on her own.

Gabby finally makes her way back to her flat...as she tries to settle their daughter down for the night...as she sighs as she realizes that she's going to have to read a whole bedtime story to get her to sleep again.
Gabby pulls out a book, watching as Connie rolls into bed. She decides to pick out one of her favourite books, where the wild things are.
Connie slowly curls up to be nice and comfy...as Gabby begins to read the book to her. She's still a bit uneasy at first...as she's still trying to fall asleep...but as Gabby keeps going, she slowly starts to drift off...as she closes her eyes.
