Absolutely Not! (Lando Norris)

We had met up with Carlos and Rebecca, we'd had a lovely meal and was now continuing drinks in a club. I was sat with Carlos and we were joking about how Lando would of been nervous proposing to me. Lando stood further on talking with Rebecca, Max and P.
"I'm surprised he didn't faint" Carlos smirks.
"I mean if he did, he would have either fallen in to a bunch of roses or a whole row of candles, not sure which one would of hurt the most" I laugh as I take a sip of my wine.
"Well I'm glad he didn't faint. I'm really happy for you both. I'm glad he told you about the bet. I mean I was sceptical at first but maybe me losing the bet wasn't a bad thing. Don't worry I will give Lando the money, you can call it a wedding present"
"What bet?" I look to him confused.
"Shit. I thought he told you. Belle I'm sorry" Carlos looks to me upset.
"What bet Carlos?"
I notice Carlos look to Lando who is watching us.
"Belle....I...I'm sorry"
I get up storming across to Lando.
"WHAT FUCKING BET?!" I shout at him.
"Belle..I.." I watch as his face drops.
"Lando what bet?"
"Let's not do this here" He goes to grab my arm but I snatch it away before heading out of the club followed by Lando.
I walk to an alleyway at the side of the club and lean against the wall.
"Belle it's not what you think" Lando grabs me but I pull away.
"Just tell me"
"It was before we got to know each other. We hated each other. We had been put in this awkward situation and I didn't know what was going to happen. It was at the racing awards at the start of the year. The one where you left early after arguing with Nate. You'd had a go at me and I was mad. I was mad at this whole situation, Carlos found me after the argument and we got drinking and I told him it was all fake and the deal your dad had made. I promise you I didn't know I was going to fall in love with you, if not I wouldn't have made the bet"
"Lando please just tell me" I whisper, my patience was wearing thin and I was tired.
"Carlos bet me that I wouldn't be able to make you fall in love with me by the Summer Break. Belle I didn't know I was going to get these feelings, we hated each other" Lando looks to me with tears in my eyes. I feel a sharp pain in my chest, so this is what heartbreak felt like.
"Was it all a lie? How much did you win?"
"It wasn't all a lie. I really do love you, I can't imagine life without you" Lando goes to grab my arm but I pull away.
"How much?" I whisper
Lando hesitates before answering "£100k, but Belle I don't want the money, I want you"
"How can I trust that any of this is real? You bet with your ex team mate that you were going to make me fall in love with you. HOW DO I KNOW THIS IS REAL?" I burst out crying, I've never felt pain like it. How could I trust that this love was real when it was all just a game to him.
"It is, I promise it is" Lando starts crying, almost begging.
" I can't do this"
"No please. Please don't do this. I promise I do love you"
"Goodbye Lando". I place one last kiss on his lips before placing my engagement ring in his hand.
I walk away leaving Lando stood, unable to control the tears that fell down my face. I was right to have been sceptical, love doesn't exist. I'd finally opened up to someone and truly let myself love and yet again was proven that love was just a myth.
