The room was dark. Cold. Athena sat alone, she couldn't see. Why couldn't she see? Her heart pounded as her breathing became heavier and she groaned with each breath.
Her head snapped to the side and then the other side, trying to see what was around her but it was no use. She couldn't see.
Something cold, metallic wrapped around her wrists that were leant on her knees.
"Hello?" Her voice trembled. Right now she felt more vulnerable than ever . She couldn't feel her magic anymore.
She shook her head, realising that the thing obstructing her vision was a blind fold. Finally, it fell down to her neck.
The room was empty. With only one chair which she had sat on.
The shackled around her wrists stopped her from doing magic. "Anybody?" She felt her past creep through, the innocence she tried to hold on to all came back, everything.
"Am I human?" She asked to no one in particular. Looking down, she was wearing her wedding gown.
"Far from it" a husky voice cut her off and Athena looked towards it with wide eyes.
"Elijah?" She asked "Elijah help something's wrong" she shook the shackles and tried to show him in a blind panic.
"Let me guess" another voice called braid Elijah "you think it is me, Athena. My own daughter, blaming me for the mistakes she's made. Do not trust the vampire"
"Father?" She asked. There she knew when Elijah stood by her father, she had to make a choice.
The choice she had to make in the real world.
Her eyes darted from one to another.
She took a deep breath in "Elijah help me, he is going to kill me" she focussed her gaze on Elijah who quickly ran by her side.
She sighed in relief as Elijah's hands wrapped around the shackles. But he only held them, and then slipped his hands off.
"What?" She asked, did she make the right choice? Her eyebrows raised and she shook with fear "Elijah help me"
Her father disappeared "father?!" She called out realising she may have made the wrong choice.
The next thing she felt was a sharp stabbing sensation in her lower abdomen. She glanced down to see the shimmer of gold.
"How could you?" She choked, coughing up some blood "I told you and you decided to stab me with it, you took advantage of me"
Elijah glanced at her and then back down at the Crimson liquid staining her dress like Cyrus' blood did 2000 years ago.
Athena felt her vision blur and she felt too weak to even lift her finger. It was over. She closed her eyes.
Athena jumped up. That same dream in the same night, but this time when she awoke the sun was up.
She slid out of bed in a hurry and threw on her clothes she packed last night. Before taking the bag over her shoulder and stepping out of the room.
There she bumped in to Elijah and Klaus. Her heart melted when she saw the sight of Elijah turn around and immediately smile at her.
She smiled back. "Leaving so soon?" Klaus asked, cutting their silent conversation off
"Um yeah" she replied after a lot of hesitation
"Why is that?" Klaus asked "worried daddy will be mad?"
Athena scowled at Klaus for a while, stopping herself from giving him a migraine.
