Elijah stood on the stairs with his brother, onlooking the party. The room filled with the sweet scent of blood as humans filtered in, unaware of them supernatural presence around them.
"You did a good job" Elijah complimented Klaus as his eyes followed people around the room to spot anything out of the ordinary.
"I believe I've done alright given the time scale" Klaus looked over his work
"I wouldn't expect anything less" Elijah added with a smile across his face "so we stick to designated area?"
Klaus nodded "you take the right and I take the left" he recapped their conversation earlier
"What are we waiting for?" Elijah hopped down the steps and gave up his birds eye view and integrated himself into his side of the room.
Bloodshed wasn't lacking much. Elijah passed multiple vampires with their fangs stuck in to any human that they can get their hands on.
He whipped a handkerchief out of his pocket and gave it to a woman to put on her wound.
Elijah then proceeded to sit at the bar, as nothing seemed out of he ordinary just yet.
"You look distracted" a girl's voice piped up, she was sat next to Elijah sipping slowly at what he believed to be wine.
Elijah was sat on the stool with his elbows placed firmly on the bar, his eyes faced towards the gate to see anyone access the compound.
He swizzled on his chair to face the girl. She was rather strange Elijah thought. "Are the lights too bright?" He asked her
"Why would you say that?" She asked in return. Elijah asked because she had massive sunglasses covering most of her face, rendering her unrecognisable. The only features she showed were her perfectly flushed cheeks, her small dainty nose and her lips that looked as if they have been covered with lip gloss, but haven't.
"You seem to be wearing sunglasses inside and at night" Elijah replied, pointing to her eyes
"Oh" she laughed a bit, touching the sides of the glasses to make sure that they stay on "no they're not too bright, I just woke up from a really long sleep and I've got dark rings around them"
Nothing about that sentence alerted Elijah whatsoever. He was too busy listening to her smooth, seductive voice and looking at her glistening hair.
"I don't think they will be so bad" Elijah disagreed
"Trust me" she forced out another laugh "you don't know the half of it"
"Well I hope I would get to see your lovely eyes soon" Elijah didn't falter
"Trust me" she tipped her head so she could see him better "you will very soon"
"I'm Elijah" he sort of smiled as his name fell out of his lips
"Mikaelson?" She asked curiously "you own the place?"
"Well, With my brother, yes" he nodded
"And you practically run the city" she became more interested by the minute
"In partnership with my brother and Marcel, you could say that" how did she know if he ran the city or not? Most humans were oblivious
"Marcel" she looked around the room quickly before returning her gaze back to a very engaged original
"Enough about me" Elijah cut off the conversation "tell me about you? I don't even know your name"
The girl stopped for a minute "Darcy" she finally blurted out "um, Darcy Drake" she sounded as if she wasn't too sure, but Elijah accepted it anyway
