"You have the blood?" Apollo held out his hand for the glass of hybrid blood.
Elijah gave it to him eagerly, the quicker this works the quicker he could get Athena back out of her sleep.
Apollo poured the thick red liquid into the small pot and then proceeded to cut his wrist and drip the blood in.
Elijah anticipated as Apollo added the rest of the ingredients.
"God how I hate lebilia flower" he said, picking it up with the tips of his fingers and throwing it in quickly.
Elijah chuckled at the caution he took. It smelt absolutely terrible and he felt bad for Athena having to drink it.
Apollo placed the spoon he used to mix the murky red-green liquid and hovered his hands over it.
He whispered a chant that Elijah couldn't really make out, he wasn't too bothered in it anyway, out of all the years he had spent listening to his mothers spell, he viewed it as boring.
"That's done" he said, grimacing at the smell of the concoction.
Elijah took a cup and dipped it in the bowl to scoop up some of the liquid. "Do we just give it to her?"
"Use it as vampire blood, let her drink it and then snap her neck" Apollo said
Elijah didn't want to snap her neck. He definitely did not want to snap her neck, or hurt her in any way.
Elijah shuffled towards her, carefully
Balancing the drink so it didn't spill. He use his thumb to open her mouth and he gently poured it down, bit by bit, so she would choke.
"I can't snap her neck" Elijah said, looking at Apollo to guilt him into doing it
"she's my sister, I can't snap her neck" he replied "you killed her before you can do it again"
Elijah shook his head, looking at her sleeping body, imagining the torture she was going through right at this very minute.
Her hand twitched, signalling Elijah to place his hands on each side of her face, whatever was happening in her mind was driving her physical form to jolt and jump. It must be bad.
He took a moment to close his lips slowly on her forehead, knowing that when she wakes up, she won't be the same Athena as he had known. She will have heightened emotions and the blood lust would control her.
"Forgive me" be whispered in her ear, unsure if she would hear it, hoping she would to help calm her nerves.
He flicked his hands to he side and the sound of cracking made him cringe. He had killed Athena for the second time.
"I really hope this works" Apollo said and Elijah turned to him.
Butterflies flew around in his stomach and made him feel sick... He had never given himself enough time to actually realise the possibility of It not working.
"Let's get her upstairs" Elijah lifted her up bridal style, her hair dangling down and almost dragging across the floor.
Elijah laid her on her side of his bed, she was just so perfect, so exquisite, he wasn't really sure what he'd do if she died.
"I'm going to wait with her" Elijah said, taking his shoes of and sliding onto his elegant four post bed with red velvet covers.
He put his arm around her and cuddled into her. He could feel her skin turn cold and he could no longer hear her breathing, which unnerved him and made him feel uneasy.
Elijah shuffled, knowing that if she would wake, she would never ever have that warm glow again. Instead she would be cold, she wouldn't have that glow. He gulped, her hair had turned dry and her lips blue.
A few hours passed and Apollo had given up on waiting, somehow watching a vampire cuddle in to his dead sister made him uncomfortable.
But Elijah stayed there, staring at the wall and reminiscing. She had come so far, from being a sneaky, manipulative bitch to such a sweet woman.
She twitched.
Elijah jumped from his current position and looked towards her hand, which kept on twitching. She should wake up at any minute.
She took a sharp breath in as she sat up quickly. Her body trembled and her eyes darted around the room to find a source of comfort.
She scrunched the covers up in her hands as if she was about to be pulled away, pulled out of existence. But she stayed there, and finally, she looked up at Elijah.
"Oh thank god" she lunged towards him and wrapped her arms around his neck, her voice was shaky as if she were about to cry.
Elijah could no longer feel her heartbeat against his chest which saddened him. It was tragic, the lengths she had to go to to avoid torture from her own family.
"I did it" he said "I did it for you"
"Thank you Elijah" she separated and looked at him "I mean it; I know it was hard for you, to kill me, and I know you were against turning me into a vampire, but I couldn't take it anymore Elijah, I couldn't do it" she began to cry at the thought of what had happened to her.
Elijah held her close again "you don't know what happened when that door was locked" she sobbed.
Elijah tried not to focus on her cold skin, but it was like ice.
"They made me watch you die over and over again, they whispered in my ear all the time" she sobbed into his shoulder
"It's all over now" Elijah shushed "you're okay, how is ..." Elijah trailed off, not wanting to mention her vampire side
"I'm hungry" she shrugged "I don't want to be hungry but I am"
"Is there anything specific..."
"Just vampire blood" she shrugged "there's something in it that just makes everything final"
"Well" Elijah raised his arm and pulled his sleeve up "let's do this"
Athena looked up at him, her veins quickly made themselves visible and then disappeared as she tried to control.
Athena with fangs. Elijah couldn't get enough of the sight, not only the fact that she suited them... Very well to say the least. But also he didn't feel so quite out of place with her, he didn't feel alone.
She was a vampire.
She was like him.
Athena felt uncomfortable as she felt her fangs extend, it grinded and made her cringe.
She took Elijah's arm and kissed it before extending her fangs and piercing them into his arm.
Elijah took a breath in as he felt the blood leaving him. He was sort of aroused by the moment, but he ignored his urges and made sure that Athena could control himself.
She was alive and this was all over. But there was always another obstacle to attack, and in this case...
Elijah had a witch vampire hybrid on his hands and he needed to figure out how to help her help herself.
