Funeral

Aurora stared at her reflection in the mirror,dressed in a knee length black gown,it had buttons at the front.

Her hair was tied upwards,

She smiled a little knowing she was facing yet another funeral.

She could still remember the day her dad died,

It was another day,Aurora had just returned home from school.

She breathed out,ready to fake a smile and show her parents everything was alright in school.

Her sweater covered her injury a girl had inflected on her,

She entered her house,she could hear voices from the doorsteps and knew they had a visitor.

No one visited this late and she wondered who it could be,

Aurora saw a worried look on her mother's face,there the sheriff of their town stood with a paper in his hand.

"What wrong mom?"asked Aurora with a suspicious gaze,

"Your father"her mother moved closer to her,

"What happened to dad?"she turned to the sheriff who didn't say anything and just sighed.

"He had an accident on his way and his car fell in the waters with him inside,his body was the only thing found"

Aurora's eye widened hearing the news,tears welled down her eye.

She stared in denial,not believing her father was no more.

Aurora smiled a little,she couldn't believe the father she once knew,who had always been there for her was dead.

Soon she stepped out,everyone was ready and present.

Seeing her,aunt Sarah had a wide smile on her face,

"You look lovely"the woman praised,

"Thank you,you look good yourself"Aurora smiled back at the woman.

Vivian had a sneer on,

"Let go now"

Many people were present at the funeral,the man really was a great man.

People had lot to say about him,the deceased family all looked sad knowing he was dead.

They all payed their respect to the deceased,when Aurora noticed familiar faces.

"Good day Sarah"Isaac greeted,

The other four stood with them,

"How are you all doing?"

aunt Sarah smiled at them

"It been a while"Mateo stated,

They were all on blacks paying respects to the deceased.

"Mr Parker did die untimely"Jennifer stated,

"Heard he had a serious illness"Melanie butted in,

"He will go to heaven for his good deeds"aunt Sarah stated with a sigh.

Meanwhile Mateo stared at Aurora who just stared back,she felt suffocated and nervous remembering the previous day they had spent together.

"How are you doing Mat?"Vivian asked,

Aurora turned to her,she seemed to have an interest in him.
