Because Beomgyu didn't visit his parents at Daegu last weekend, his mom asked him to meet them the next day, despite having a school day, claiming it was important. So, Beomgyu had no choice. He told Soobin in advance that he might be gone for about a week.

"Ask Yeonjun-hyung to accompany you or something."

"Gladly."

"Just don't dirty the sheets."

"I-"

Beomgyu makes his way to the train station and purchases a ticket to Daegu. The journey took about 2 hours, another half an hour to make it to his house. He stands at the front of his house, still hesitant to ring the doorbell or not, but then Beomgyu's mom opens the door and she flashes her lovely smile.

"Beomgyu~" his mom envelopes him in a hug, tip toeing to match his extreme height.

"I'm sorry I didn't come last weekend." Beomgyu says. "Dad's here?"

"Don't worry about it. And he's in the kitchen, waiting. Let's go?"

Beomgyu nods, letting his mom pull him by the arm and he drags his suitcase along. His father walks towards him and gives him a tight hug including a pat on the back.

After settling down in his room and freshening up, Beomgyu makes his way to the dining table where the housekeeper's serving dinner and his parents both seated at the dining table. Beomgyu takes a seat in front on the two. While eating, they asked Beomgyu about school and how he's been doing, Beomgyu asking the same, it was a happy moment for him, talking with his family, like how they should be, that's until his dad brings up about the family's business.

"How's Chaeryoung doing? You guys are dating right?"

Have I mentioned that Beomgyu's father and Chaeryoung's father are best business friends?

"Fine." Beomgyu says bluntly.

"Then let's get straight to the point." Beomgyu's father says, arms crossed.

Beomgyu takes a glimpse of his mom, looking uncomfortable suddenly.

"Are you okay mom-"

"Beomgyu, we're thinking of an arranged marriage."

Beomgyu instantly looks back at his father, face serious and half smiling.

"Huh?"

"With Chaeryoung. It'd be good for the company. With this marriage, we can form a partnership."

"Dad, this isn't a century ago, what the fuck do you mean arranged marriage?"

"Language, Beomgyu." His mom shushes him.

"Well, okay, arranged marriage or not, the both of you are together. Why are you refusing?"

"Do you know how old I am? I'm 18. I have a soulmate and it isn't her."

"That soulmate thing is all bullshit Beomgyu. Look at me and your mom. We're definitely fine."

Beomgyu shook his head. "Well, I'm not going to be like you."

"Beomgyu-" His mom caresses his hand.

"Like it or not, you will get married. Chaeryoung signed the contract."

"She what??"

"And you will sign the contract. We want to seal the deal ASAP. The engagement is in a month. End of discussion."

Beomgyu was baffled. He felt like his own dad just sold him for a business alliance. His mom once again caresses his hand and the problem is, as much as he wanted to say no, just one look at his mom, he knew he couldn't say it.
